1) Introduction (вступление)
Во вступлении необходимо четко сформулировать тему-проблему, указав, что существуют две противоположные точки зрения на проблему (Some people claim that mobile phones are very useful devices while others argue that life could be less stressful without them.) и высказать свое мнение, не используя слишком много личных конструкций

2) Основная часть

1 абзац.  Привести 2-3 аргумента, подтверждающих вашу точку зрения, подкрепляя  их примерами или доказательствами.
Во втором абзаце вы должны придерживаться только ОДНОЙ точки зрения, например:  Mobile phones in my opinion are very useful devices. ИЛИ I consider the mobile phone to be a harmful and useless invention.
Необходимо привести 2-3 аргумента с доказательствами в поддержку собственного мнения

Many cities in Europe do everything to promote bicycles as an ecologically clean type of transportation; however the governor of St. Petersburg signed a decree according to which bicycles will not be allowed in the city centre.

Do you agree that bicycles should be banned in the centre of St. Petersburg?

In European cities people ride bicycles a lot because they are aware that bikes help to save fuel and reduce pollution in cities. However, the governor of Saint-Petersburg decided to ban bicycles in the city centre and I fully agree with it. I would like to explain my point of view on it.

In my opinion, the governor is absolutely right. In the first place, our roads are not adapted for biking as in Europe; they are too narrow and there are no separate lanes for bicycles. Moreover, bikes do not help the traffic situation but even sometimes make it worse as bicyclists often break traffic rules and cause accidents. In addition, the weather in St. Petersburg is not good for bicycle commuting. In winter roads are covered with ice, in autumn and in spring rains are frequent and roads are wet, so it is very difficult for cyclists to move.

On the other hand, some people say that bikes are undoubtedly useful for our health because bikes are ecologically clean and they do not threaten our environment.

I can not agree with it completely as there are a lot of road accidents where cyclists are injured. but you can also put special purifying facilities on cars which are faster and more comfortable as transport.

To sum up, there are different points of view on this problem. I believe that bicycles should be banned in the city centre where streets are not specially created for them. As I see it, a bike is a kind of transport for short trips in the countryside.

There are a lot of zoos in the world and millions of people visit them every year. But are zoos harmful or helpful to animals which are caged there?

              I strongly believe that we should not keep animals in zoos because captivity is not natural for them and it is a constant stress to a wild animal. Keeping animals in zoos harms them by denying them freedom of movement and association. What is more, zoos are like prisons for animals as they live in small cages and do not get necessary food. In addition, animals become very aggressive and unpredictable as they get older and often attack zoo keepers and other people.

                     However, most people think that zoos help endangered species survive. Another argument for keeping animals in zoos is that people learn something new about these animals.

           I cannot agree with them. I consider, this is not true because most rare animals are extremely difficult to breed in captivity. Besides, in zoos, it is almost impossible to meet the animals’ natural needs. Actually, zoos do not teach us much because animals do not act the way they would in the wild. I think we can learn more about animals by watching wildlife programs on TV.

                In conclusion, I would argue that zoos do not seem to help endangered species and keeping animals behind bars only for the sake of our entertainment is not quite fair. In my opinion, people must create nature reserves, where wild animals will be able to live in their natural environment.

There are a lot of people who believe that there are more minuses than pluses in city life. Others say that people who live in a big city have more conveniences than inconveniences.  I would like to express my opinion on this problem.

In my view, there are more advantages than disadvantages in living in a big city. Firstly, there is a wide choice of jobs and educational institutions. Children and adults, all have chances for a better life in a big city. Secondly, there is a well-developed culture life. Museums, exhibitions, theatres and concerts are a part of the life of every citizen.

Some people argue that there are more disadvantages than advantages, living in a city. For example, life in a city is very expensive. It is much cheaper in the countryside.  In addition to this, life in a country is safer than in cities, the rate of crime is lower.

However, I cannot agree with that opinion because salaries in cities are higher. City residents earn more money, in comparison with villagers. Besides, there are more police stations in big cities and policemen who control the rate of crime.

To conclude, I would like to say that life in a big city has more advantages than disadvantages. I firmly believe that people in a city have lots of options and opportunities; the life in a city is much more exciting.
