Цели урока:

- развитие иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции (речевой, языковой, социокультурной, компенсаторной, учебно-познавательной);

- развитие понимания важности защиты нашей планеты в современном мире;

- создание основы для формирования интереса переработки и использования старых материалов для помощи планеты

- формирование понимания важности участия всех людей и детей разных стран в защите Земли.

Задачи урока:

- формировать навыки и умения чтения с полным пониманием по теме «День Земли»;

-формировать навыки и умения аудирования  живой речи;

- пополнять словарный запас по теме «Наша живая планета»;

-использовать страдательный залог в новой ситуации « Макулатура  и другие материалы для сохранения ресурсов планеты»

- воспитывать культуру общения, умение работать в группе;

- всестороннее развивать личность обучаемого, создавать условия для  творческого развития и практического применения знаний языка в новых предлагаемых условиях  для каждого обучающегося,   возможность проявить активность

- создавать атмосферу психологической и языковой готовности к общению.

1. Earth: I am Earth. I have a high temperature because of this terrible carbon dioxide. I live like in a green house.

CO2: I’m carbon dioxide

1. Yes, we are carbon dioxide and people say we are very, very harmful.

2. But we want to stop their blame

3. We just want to save our Earth.

- What’s the matter? Why are you crying?

2) For many years we have lived in harmony with nature. Trees breathed in carbon dioxide and breathed out oxygen.

3) But nowadays factories produce a lot of harmful substances.

Section 3 .What can children do to help our planet?

Sample answers:

1. My name is Nikita. I’m from Elektrostal, Russia. We usually collect old paper: old newspapers, old magazines, cardboard. We know that 100 kilograms of old paper save one tree. In November our school collected 5 tons and a half of old paper. We saved 55 trees! The pupils of our form collected….and saved …trees. Also, one ton of old paper saves10 trees, 20000 litres of water, 1000 kw of energy. So, I think we have helped our planet a lot.

2. My name is Polly. I’m from Great Britain. I always remember 3 Rs- reuse, recycle, reduce. I collect plastic bags and use them to make toys, useful things. I also collect plastic food containers. I make badges, toys for my sisters to play in the sand or in the water.

Section 5. Welcome to the Creativity section! These children enjoy writing stories about the way of helping our living Earth .Listen to the first story of a book.

(Sample story.) Old paper was collected. It was brought to the recycling factory. It was recycled. New paper was made. It was sent to the printing factory. A new book was made. Then it was brought to the shop where the book was bought .The book was given as a present. We saved 12 trees.

2. This is the story of a vase. The juice in the plastic bottle was bought. The juice was drunk. The plastic bottle was reused. The top of the bottle was cut off. The bottle was painted and decorated. It was turned into the vase. The vase was given as a present. Some flowers were put into it. The top of the bottle was used to pour water into another bottle.

Section 6. Now we are in the workshop where the children are going to show what is made of old paper or plastic bags.

Our game is nearly over. The last Section7 is called “A project “Let’s help our planet!”
