The theme of this TV show is the influence of modern technologies and the Internet on people’s lives.

Modern technology in our lives People in contemporary world can hardly imagine their lives without machines. Every day either a new gadget is invented or an old one is improved. Different people appreciate new inventions differently. Some suppose that sophisticated gadgets are really useful and necessary, while others find them absolutely awful as they influence people badly. As for me, I am pretty sure that gadgets make people`s lives easier.

Machines in different spheres Firstly, they do all kinds of dirty and hard work, as cleaning. Secondly , devices can save a lot of time as well as storage space. For instance, a computer disk can contain the same amount of information as several thick books . So , machines help people in different spheres.

Disadvantages of modern technologies A ccording to scientists, a great number of widespread devices produce radiation that can cause serious health problems. Furthermore, more and more people are becoming addicted to their modern gadgets, for instance computers, TVs or mobile phones. So, they neglect their home obligations, work or school and spend all their spare time in front of a laptop screen or a TV-set.

Internet and Modern Life The Internet has already entered our ordinary life. Everybody knows that the Internet is a global computer network, which embraces hundred of millions of users all over the world and helps us to communicate with each other.

E-mail Nowadays the most popular Internet service is e-mail. Most of the people use the network only for sending and receiving e-mail messages. They can do it either they are at home or in the internet clubs or at work. Other popular services are available on the Internet too. It is reading news, available on some dedicated news servers, telnet, FTP servers, etc.

Problems of Internet However, there are some problems. The most important problem is security. Another big and serious problem of the net is control. Yes, there is no effective control in the Internet , because a huge amount of information circulating through the net. It is like a tremendous library and market together.

Is it better to buy online or to go to a shop? Nowadays e-commerce has become very popular. I think that to buy something online is very fast and convenient, but I would buy expensive and important things in the retail stores.

Many students use the Internet to help them do their assignments and they just cut and paste information from the Internet. Is it possible to stop this? I think that it can not be stopped while many people do not realize that a lot of information from the Internet is false. Students must apply to the Internet less and have more to think for themselves, which have a set of knowledge.

Does the Internet make people more impatient? In щгк opinion, the Internet makes people impatient and irritable. People used to get instant gratification of their needs thanks to the Internet. People need more time to fully consider the issue.

Many people download MP3 music without paying any money for it. Do you thing that this is a problem? I believe that this is not a very important issue, as it has many pluses and minuses. For owners of the songs is really a problem, because they lose their money, and it is good for students to download your favorite music.

In conclusion, I believe that in spite of all drawbacks, gadgets have, their benefits are much more considerable, as they save people`s time and let them enjoy life.
