ОТКРЫТЫЙ УРОК АНГЛИЙСКОГО ЯЗЫКА

Класс 7

Тема урока: Popular Arts.

Цели урока: закрепление лексических навыков, развитие умений диалогической речи, декламации, приобщение к искусству.

Оборудование урока: просторный класс, оформленный надписями под театр, компьютер, аудио- и видеоматериалы презентаций и викторины, театральные программки урока и билеты, УМК О.В.Афанасьевой, И.В. Михеевой для 7 классов школ с углубленным изучением английского языка, лицеев, гимназий, колледжей. -М: Просвещение. -2014.

Урок представлен в форме спектакля.

ХОД УРОКА.

I.-Good afternoon! We start our lesson about popular arts. Imagin that we are in the theatre and we play different roles in the performance. Who is a cashier, an usher, a lecturer, a musician, a writer, an actress, theatre-goers, a director? Let’s start our performance!

II. Dialogue In the box-office (Murad and Zarina):

-Are the any seats left for night?

-Would you like something in the front stalls?

-Haven’t got anything cheaper?

--Let me see…I think you can have seats in the dress-circle.

Dialogue in the hall (Roxolana and Alina):

-Would you like the program, please?

 -I think I would. Thank you.

 (The bell rang.)

 Dialogue in the stalls (Alina and Diana Tsagaraeva):

-Are these seats ours?

-No, I don’t think so. These are C-14 and C-15, and we have C-16 and C 17.

-I see they are further in the row.

-Let’s hurry up. The lights well be going down in a minute.

(The bell rang 2 times.)

III. Act 1. A lecturer ( Diana Tserekaeva): -Good evening! Now you will see video about famous museums, theatres, monuments. Take these cards and match the pictures with their names.

a)?        the Theatre « Globe« in London

b)?        the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg

c) ?       the Russian Drama Theatre in Moscow    

d)?        the Monument to A. Pushkin in Moscow                    

(Pupils watch and listen to her, do the task.)-Finish!

A musician (Liza Alexeieva):-Now you will listen to some musical fragments. Take these cards and put the number of arts which you listened and seen:

Ballet «Swan Lake»

Music by Pink Floyd

Opera «Knight Igor»

Ballet «Romeo and Juliet»

(Pupils   watch and listen to video fragments, do the task.)- Finish!

(The bell rang.)

IV. Dialogue in the bar (George and Izmail):

-It’s a little hot in here, isn’t it? I’m thirsty.

I think I’ll have some lemonade. And what about you?

-I have a glass of lemonade or ice cream.

-Ice cream? I can have it too.

-Good. I hope they have my favorite strawberry ice cream.

 The  dialogue in the dress-circle (Murad and Alina):

-Well, how did you like the first act?

-I loved. Especially the music.

-Quite so. It was really good.

 (The bell rang 2 times.)

V.  Act 11.  A writer ( Alana) :-You like reading books about adventures, wars, journeys, don’t you? And do you know the names of these books? Take the cards and match these works with the names of their writers:

1) Oliver Twist                a) H.G. Wells

2) The Time Machines    b) W. Scott

3) Ivenhoe                       c) Charles Dickens

4) Hamlet                        d) Shakespeare

 (Pupils do the task.) -Finish!

VI. A director (a teacher):-Can you recite poems?

a).Listen to the sonnet by W. Shakespeare, and read it.

b).Who wants to recite the sonnet by W. Shakespeare?

And translation of it  into Russian?

Not marble, not the gilded monuments

Of prince’s, shall outlive this powerful rime;

But you shall shine more bright in these contents

Than unswerving stone , immortal with sluttish time.

When wasteful war shall statues overturn,

And broils root out the work of masonry,

Nor Mars his sword nor mar’s quick fire shall burn

The living record of your memory,

Against death and all-obvious enmity

Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room,

Even in the eyes of all posterity

That wear this world out to the ending doom.

So, till the judgment that yourself arise,

You live in this, and dwell in lovers eyes.

Замшелый мрамор царственных могил

Исчезнет раньше этих веских слов,

В которых я твой образ сохранил.

К ним не пристанет пыль и грязь веков.

Пусть опрокинет статуи война,

Мятеж развеет каменщиков труд,

Но врезанные в память письмена

Бегущие столетья не сотрут.

Ни смерть не увлечет тебя на дно,

Ни темного забвения вражда.

Мир износив, увидеть дверь суда.

Итак, до пробуждения живи

В стихах, в сердцах, исполненных любви!

VII. -Did you like our lesson?

Here your results: very good marks get Lisa, Diana Tserekaeva, Alana, Zarina; good marks: Roxolana, Diana Tsagaraeva, Alina, Izmail, George, Murad.      

Write your home task: to recite the sonnet by W. Shakespeare and translation by S. Marshak, and remember kinds of sports and games.
