КВН по теме «СМИ».
Ход игры.
Hostess: Good morning, friends! I am very glad to see you. Today we shall hold a competition of 2 teams. The members of the teams are the students of the 9-th M form .Also let me introduce our jury. We invited the students of the 10-th and 11-th form, they are: (представление членов жюри). Thank you. Now I ask you to guess the topic of our competition. You will see some video fragments, which help you to find out the topic. (показ ролика).
Student 1: These fragments were about internet, press, TV and radio, so we may guess that the topic of our contest will be “Mass media”.
Hostess: Do all students agree with this guessing?-(Yes) All right, and what, do you think will be the aim of our competition?
Student 2: To refresh the words and expressions on the topic “Mass media”.
Student 3: May be- to practice in speaking English on the topic.
Student 4: To show and to use our knowledge on this topic.
Student 5: To be active, friendly and to enjoy the game.
Hostess: That’s all right. And now we may start. The first contest is called “ Home task. The presentation of the teams.” The teams had to prepare their names, emblems and mottoes. The maximum point to this contest is 6. Let’s listen to the first team.

Hostess: Thank you very much. Take your seats. We invite the 2-d team. Please.
Представление 2-й команды.
Hostess: Thank you, please go to your places. Now let our judges tell us the results of the 1-st contest.
Judge 1: Our decision is: the team”……………” gets ……points, the team”…………………” gets…….points. So the score is:……/ …….The leading place has “……………………”.
Hostess: Thank you. Let’s go to the 2-d contest. It is called “ Warming up”. We need 6 students from each team. Your task is to take the cards one by one, to read the statements from the card and to agree or disagree with the statement. If the statement is false, correct it. If it is true- repeat it. Our judges will listen to you attentively and lead the score. Let us start!

9. Advertisement put pressure on consumers. (It is true……..)

11. In Russia there are few free newspapers and they usually contain advertisements. (It is false. . In Russia there are a lot of free newspapers and they usually contain advertisements ).
12. Newspapers in the UK are of two main types: broadsheets and tabloids. (It is true……)

Hostess: Now we are ready to start our 3-d contest “Questions and answers”. Many people prefer watching TV to listening to the radio and reading newspapers and magazines. Make up some questions for your friends about the role of television in their life. You’ve got 3 minutes to prepare questions. For each right question and answer you get 1 point. Judges will lead the score. ( 1 судья считает одну команду, 2-другую.)
Конкурс № 3-«Вопросы и ответы».
- Do you like to watch documentaries? ( No, I don’t. I prefer to watch sitcoms and comedy shows.)
- Have you ever read the magazines for teenagers? ( Yes, I have. I have read the magazines for teenagers such as…).
- How many hours a day do you watch TV? (I watch TV for two hours a day.)
- Did you watch educational programmes in English last month? (No, I didn’t. I didn’t watch educational programmes in English last month.)
- You are interested in political programmes, aren’t you? (No, I am not. I am not interested in political programmes.)
- What is your favourite TV programme? ( My favourite TV programme is a TV show “Voice” on the 1-st channel.)
- Can you imagine your life without television? Why/Why not?( Yes I can. Watching TV is not my favourite pastime)
- Can watching TV be a hobby? Why/Why not? ( I think it can. It can help people to relax, to entertain themselves, to learn something new, interesting.)
- Does television help you to escape from problems? (No, it doesn’t. But television can give me some answers to very important questions.)
- Is it useful to watch TV? ( In my opinion sometimes it is useful to watch TV. But very often children watch TV for a long time and it can ruin their health.)
Подведение итогов.
Hostess: Thank you all and we continue. Now we are having 2 contests at once. Contest № 4 is for our captains. They will get a special task to complete the story with the given words. While the captains will be doing their task the members of the teams will take part in the contest “ Attentive listeners’. You will hear the text “The first printing press” and complete the sentences in the card.

Also during his spare time he enjoys reading serious newspapers, which are called broadsheets, such as “The Times”, “The Daily Telegraph”.
Hostess: All right, your time is up. Let’s start with the captains. Judges, please, be attentive. (Выступают капитаны, жюри слушают, проверяют). Now I ask the teams to give their answers to the jury.(Сдаются карточки с аудированием)
Пока жюри подводит итоги выступает одна из команд.
Hostess:Let’s listen to the results…..Thank you very much. We have found out that you are attentive listeners. Now we’ll find out are you attentive viewers or not. Watch the following video fragments and name the kind of programme. For each right answer you’ll get 1 point. Let’s start with the 1-st team.(после просмотра-1 мин.-обсуждение-ответ, затем 2-я команда)……The word to the judges.
Thank you, it’s time to hold our last contest “ Advertisment”. You’ve got 4 minutes to make up some advert. I can suggest you such objects of advertising as “The best school”, “The most interesting newspaper”, “Unforgettable trip”, but you may use your own object. Be creative, use your imagination, role- playing if you want. Don’t forget that a good advert helps a consumer, but the bad one can fail the company.

Hostess: Thank you very much, I hope our jury will appreciate your talants and knowledge. We give them some time to make all the results clear. Meanwhile we can watch the performance of the team…..
