Конспект урока английского языка в 7 классе

Тема урока: «Спорт в нашей жизни».

Цель урока: развитие навыков устной речи.

Задачи урока:

1. Повторить и активизировать в речи лексику по теме «Спорт»;
2. Развивать навык аудирования;
3. Развивать навыки диалогической и монологической речи;
4. Создать  условия для эффективной работы в группах;
5. Развивать творческую активность учащихся.

Оборудование:

Медиапроектор, раздаточные карточки с заданиями, оценочные карточки, картинки по теме «Спорт».

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент

Good morning, children. Sit down, please. Who is on duty today? Who is absent? Thank you.

2. Введение в тему урока

Today the topic of our lesson is “Sport in our life”. We are going to work in groups and have a competition. You will get these balls for the right answers. At the end of the lesson you will check the balls and we will know the winner.

3. Речевая зарядка

At first I want to ask you some questions:

Do you like sport?

What is your favourite kind of sport?

Can you name these popular kinds of sport?

4. Работа с тематической лексикой

I am glad that you all know the topical vocabulary. The next task for you is a crossword. Please, solve it in groups and write the names of the games.

1. A sport of fighting in which 2 people wear big gloves.
2. A team game in which players strike a ball across the net.
3. A team game with an oval ball.
4. A sport where one moves himself through water with the help of his arms and legs.
5. A sport of athletics.
6. A sport where one moves on skis or snow.
7. A team game with a small red ball.
8. A sport of fighting in which 2 men try to throw each other onto the floor.

5. Аудирование

So, we’ve  remembered all popular kinds of sport but it is very important to know the rules of the games. I will read them to you  and you should guess the game or some kind of sport. Let’s begin with the 1st group. Listen to me very attentively.

Guess the game

1. Each team has got 11 players. The 2 teams should wear different colours.  Only the goalkeeper is allowed to play the ball with his hands or arms. (football)
2. Each team has got 5 players. This game is played with an orange ball which must be thrown, not carried or kicked. There are 4 periods of the game. Each period lasts 10 minutes. (basketball)
3. The game is played by 2 or 4 players on the table. The players must change position after each game. The ball must touch the table on both sides of the net each time it is hit. (table tennis)
4. Each team must have 6 players. The server hits the ball with his hand or any part of the arm. The players must throw the ball over the net. They must not touch the net. (volleyball)
5. Each team has got 6 players. They must wear skates and numbered shirts. (ice hockey)
6. Each team has got 7 players. This game is played in the swimming pool. One team should wear blue caps, the other white. Players must throw the ball into the gates. (water polo)
7. This competition takes place on the road. Sportsmen ride motorbikes and try to be the first. (cycle racing)
8. Sportsmen are weighed before the fight. This competition takes place on the ring. Their assistants must leave the ring before the fight begins. Sportsmen must wear gloves and must not hit an opponent behind the neck. (boxing)
9. This competition is a kind of fighting. The 2 sportsmen must bow to each other at the start of the contest. They should wear white clothes. Sportsmen must only attack the arms and legs of the opponent. (judo)

6. Диалогическая речь

You know that boys and girls like to share their impressions of the sports they are fond of. I will give you parts of the dialogue between 2 friends. They are speaking about skating. Your task is to put the lines together in a logical order.

A – Hello! I haven’t seen you for ages! How are you?

B – Fine, thanks. And  you?

A – I’m fine too. Where are you going?

B – To the skating-rink. You know, I’m fond of skating and I go there every day.

A – Do you skate only for pleasure?

B – Oh, no! It is very beautiful kind of sport, but it needs a lot of training. We do exercises, learn new elements, go to different competitions.

A – Isn’t it difficult for you?

B – Sometimes. But it’s great as well. Skating helps me to keep fit, it builds character and I enjoy it.

I am sure you all like sports and understand its importance in our life. I want you to make a small project work. Please, choose pictures of sports and games you like best and prepare an advertisement of a sports club or sports centre for teenagers in our town.
