WHO IS THE BUSIEST IN THE FAMILY?

My family can't do without my help. Everybody wants me to help. Look at these messages on the fridge. Mum asks me to help with dinner as usual. My little brother John wants me to repair his bike. My elder brother asks me to clean his room up because he is waiting for guests in the evening. My Granny wants me to visit her more often. My elder sister asks me to rent a movie. They don't make me do all these things. They only ask me to do them: "Steve, please, you are not very busy today."

MAKE MONEY AND HAVE FUN AT THE SAME TIME?

Kim would like to make money and have fun at the same time. (1)        . "I'm good at drawing. I love drawing. When people see my drawings, they often tell me how pretty they are. I'm good at writing funny stories. How can I turn my ability to draw and to make up stories into an interesting business? Cartoons? It's very difficult. It takes special education," sheoften thought. (2) Her favourite cartoon series were the Flintstones. And suddenly she had an idea to create a board game of the Flintstones. The game was based on her favourite cartoon characters. But she gave the Flintstones, who lived in the Stone Age, the same problems as she and her friends have at school. (3)  It was interesting and unusual and people liked her game.

Kim has now created four board games. The scripts of her next board games are based on her favourite books. (4)        .

Kim is very proud that pupils buy her board games and enjoy them.

• We organise charity concerts for children.

• What holiday would you like to have?
• My new holiday would be a "No Fighting Day". It would be the best chance for making a difference.

• Would you like to start your own business?
• I'd love to. But I have no ideas.
• I have a lot of ideas. For example, to weave things or to make stuffed animals.
• I think it is fun doing such things.

• Any plans for summer?
• I'd like to earn some money in July. I want to try babysitting or maybe delivering newspapers. Would you join me?
• I like babysitting. It's more interesting than delivering newspapers.

        Just about everyone has a day.

• What do you mean?
• There's a Mother's Day for mothers, and a Father's Day for fathers. There's even a day for trees. It is called Arbor Day.
• What do people do on this day?
• It is a day for planting trees or cleaning up the nearest park. It is a day for making your city and your country a more beautiful place.

• Have you heard about the Samaritans? What do they do?
• Samaritan volunteers give advice over the telephone to people who feel unhappy.
• Where can one find their telephone?
• In the local telephone book.
