My favourite subject is French. I would like to visit France. At our French lessons we usually speak French, read and translate texts, learn new words and poems. I have French three times a week. Also I like P.E. I play for the school football team. I don’t like Maths. It’s boring.

At our school all pupils wear a uniform. It must be grey or black.

Dear Alice,

Thank you  for your letter. I want to tell you about my summer holidays. In June I didn’t go to the camp, I went to the country. I had a great time there. There was a big garden with beautiful flowers next to my granny’s house. My friends and I spent a lot of time outdoors. We enjoyed riding our bikes, swimming, picking berries and gathering mushrooms. In the evening we made a fire and sang songs.

In July I went to the Black sea with my parents. The weather was sunny and hot. We swam in the sea and sunbathed. In the evening we walked in the park. My birthday is on the 10th of July and we went to the dolphins’ show. It was very interesting. Dolphins dived, swam, danced. I took a lot of pictures of these nice and clever animals. I enjoyed my birthday and my new friends.

In August I was at home. I watched TV, played computer games and helped my mother.

1. London is the capital of Great Britain, which stands on the river Thames. The West End is the center of London. There are lot of theatres, cinemas, galleries and museums there.

3. Tourists from all the countries of the world go shopping to Oxford Street, which is in the West End of London. They can buy all the things they want in its famous shops.

London is the capital of the UK. There are a lot of interesting places to see in London. For  example, Trafalgar Square. There is a statue of Admiral Nelson who defeated the French at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. He is a national English hero. There is no traffic in the square.

Buckingham Palace is the London home of the Queen. When the flag is on the top she is at home.

Houses of Parliament is the seat of the British Government. It’s a very large building with beautiful towers. Big Ben is one of the most famous clocks in the word.

Westminster Abbey is a Royal Church. Here you can see many tombs of British Kings and Queens and other famous people.

The Tower of London was a fortress, a royal palace, later a prison. Now it is a museum. Many tourists come to visit London and see all these places.
