Пояснительная записка

     Данный урок проводится в 5 классе в качестве обобщающего по теме «Страны и континенты».

Тип урока: обобщающий

Цели урока: обобщить изученный материал о странах и континентах; расширить кругозор учащихся средствами английского языка.

Задачи урока:

1. Обобщить и закрепить основные знания, умения и навыки уч-ся по теме;
2. Расширить знания учащихся по данной теме;
3. Продолжить развитие интереса у учащихся к изучаемому языку;
4. Воспитывать гражданско-патриотическое отношение к России – крупнейшей стране мира;
5. Расширить словарный запас учащихся;
6. Закрепить фонетическую грамотность учащихся;
7. Продолжить обучение учащихся разговорным формулам – клише.

Знания, умения, навыки и качества, которые актуализируют/ приобретут/ закрепят ученики в ходе урока:

1. Знание названия континентов, стран, столиц;
2. Знание названия языков и национальностей изучаемых стран;
3. Умение узнавать  и описывать флаги изучаемых стран;
4. Умение использовать межпредметные связи (география, история);
5. Умение понимать  информацию на слух;
6. Умение использовать разговорные формулы – клише;
7. Навыки владения грамматическим материалом (Present (Past) Simple)

6. Географическая карта мира (мультимедиа)

1.     Организационный момент.

T: - Good morning, students!

S: - Good morning, good morning,

      Good morning to you.

T: - I’m glad to see you, too! Sit down. Who is on duty today?

Sd: - I’m. Today is the 18- th of March. Today is Tuesday. Nobody is absent.

    T: - Look, here is the crossword. Your task is to guess the name of the country using prompts.

Crossword “Countries and flags”

• Here are some instructions to make sure that you know how to do it.

1. All the words are closed with different colours. Choose the number. Click it (do it with a single click). You will see the prompts.

2. You may use one or more prompts.  Click the star, you will see the picture(s). They can help you (if you use less prompts, you will get more points).

3. Guess the name of the country. Describe the national flag of chosen country in some words.
4. Click the sign “choose the flag”.  Click the chosen flag.
5. If you are right, the closed word will be opened.
6. If you have a mistake, you’ll see the word ‘wrong”. Try again.
7. Click the sign “next word”.
8. When all the words are guessed, you will be able to open the code word.

T: - And now can you guess the topic of the lesson? You are right – the topic of today’s lesson is “Continents and countries”! (slide 1)

T: So you know that different people have different traditions, they live in different countries and on different continents, they speak different languages.

And today we’ll try to revise everything you know about countries and continents, about nationalities, their languages and flags. Now let’s start our lesson.

T: - Imagine that you’re at an international conference. Say what your name (nationality) is, where  you are  from, what is the capital of your country  and  what language you speak.

EXAMPLE:   Hi, my name is Laurence. I’m from France. I’m French. The capital of my country is Paris. My language is French.

VII   Рефлексия

• So you can see that English is the language of international communication. Wherever you go everyone will understand you if you speak English. But even in English-speaking countries there are some differences in using language. You will know about it during our next lesson.
• For today our lesson is over. I have only two questions: Have you enjoyed the lesson and have we reached the purpose? How can I get the answer on my questions? I’ll know the answer when you fulfill these blanks. You know how to do it. We did it a lot of time. While you are doing this work I am counting your points to give you marks.
