Цели:

Образовательная:

1. Систематизация и расширение кругозора в  области страноведения (Россия, США, Великобритания);
2. Обучение анализу учебного материала по теме.

Развивающие:

1. Активизация аудирования с полным пониманием прослушанного с опорой на текст;
2. Развитие познавательной и коммуникативной деятельности учащихся;
3. Совершенствование умения высказываться логично и связно;
4. Тренировка монологической и диалогической речи.

Воспитательная:

1. Формирование гражданского и патриотического самосознания;
2. Привитие интереса к культурам англо-говорящих стран;
3. Воспитание чувства толерантности учащихся к представителям других культур и народов;
4. Развитие умения работать в коллективе, культуры общения.

Оборудование: мультимедийное оборудование, презентация в Power Point

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент (2 мин):            

Приветствие.

• Good morning students! (Good morning teacher!)

           I'm glad to see you! (We are glad to see you too!)

           Sit down, please.

      -   Who is on duty today? (I am on duty today.)

           Who is absent? What day is it today? (Today is the 7th of February)

Thank you, sit down.

Задача:

• Look at the screen, please. Today we’ll speak about the symbols of three countries: the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the Russian Federation. (Читают названия на слайде)

2. Фонетическая зарядка (2 мин):

Read the transcriptions and translate the words:

-        How do you understand the word “symbols”? Explain, please.( Учащиеся, учитель дают объяснение слову «символы»)

A Symbol is something that represents countries. (a flag, the State Emblem, a flower, a tree, a song etc.) (Слайд 3)

Finish my statements about Russia, Great Britain and America.

(Учащиеся заканчивают предложения учителя)

(It consists of 21 republics, 6 territories (krai), 49 provinces (oblast’)…)

- Let’s speak about the floral symbols of the UK. At home you were to remember the legends.

What is the floral symbol of England (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)? Why is it so?

(Учащиеся объясняют, какие цветы и почему являются символами Англии, Уэльса Северной Ирландии и Шотландии)

- And do you know the floral symbol of Russia?

What is the poetic name of our country? What tree can we name as our national symbol?
