Good bye, “Happy English.ru!”

- Welcome to our party “Good bye, “Happy English.ru!” 

Today we have an unusual party, today we really say “Good bye” to our favourite English textbooks and their authors K. Kaufman and M. Kaufman. We will not study on these textbooks any more.

        - How did it begin?

        Computers and Internet came to our school and we need a new English book. The textbooks Happy English.ru by K. Kaufman and M. Kaufman were modern and not so difficult for village pupils. English was studied in our school from the 5th Grade. We learned poems and songs, acted out dialogues on different situations, travelled a lot, visited sights of Great Britain and the USA with our new friends Misha, Robin, Mark and Alice. We liked the textbook and of course English. What have we learned from the textbook? Let’s see!

        - Every language begins from the alphabet. Let’s listen to the ABC-song.

Do you like the Beatles? Do you play handball?

- This textbook taught us to speak English, to read additional literature, to watch films and listen to English songs. Let’s listen to Sergey Karandaev. He is fun of “The Beatles”. He’ll sing the song “Yesterday”

- For the first time we have learned about the projects and presentations from these textbooks. Our pupils made a lot of projects on different topics: “My Pet”, “My Granny”,

You can see them on the blackboard.

        Today you are going camping

 With your family, friends or class.

 Please help us, don t drop any litter!

Misha:

I have never found money,

and I haven't been to Spain.

But I've seen a giraffe,

It walked down our street.

Christmas nonsense

Oh, this Christmas nonsense! When will it stop?

You go to the High Street and shop till you drop!

You look for some presents, but what can you buy?

You    write letters to Santa, but he'll never reply.

You have to go to parties, when you can watch TV.

You go out in cold weather, and get a Christmas tree.

So, thank you, but never! No Christmas for me!

- The pupils from different villages learn in our school. Let’s listen to their stories about their villages and watch the presentation “The place where we live”

        - Our party is going to the end, we say “Thank you, Happy English.ru!”
