Разработка урока английского языка в 8 классе по теме «Газеты в Великобритании»

Цель: развитие коммуникативной компетенции на основе прочитанного текста.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

- Good morning, boys  and girls! I am glad to see you. Take your place. Let’s begin our lesson. The theme of the lesson is “Newspapers in Britain”.

2. Фонетическая зарядка. + Речевая разминка.

• First of all look at the board. There some words. Your task will be to transcribe them and to translate. You have 2 minutes.

• Well done, now try to make some sentences with these words.

3. Работа в группах по 2-3 человека.

• Now you should work in small groups of 2-3 people. I’ll give you some cards with sentences. You should translate these sentences. You have 3 minutes.

• Let’s check your translations.
• Next task for you is to use these sentences in Past Simple/Future Simple.

4. Чтение текста. Работа с текстом.

• Read the text and tell me which words are difficult for you.

There are two kinds of newspapers in Britain. One is large kind and has many detailed articles about national and international events.  These newspapers are called serious papers or quality papers. The other kind, called the tabloids are smaller in size, have more pictures and shorter articles, often about less important events or about the private lives of well-known people. Though some people disapprove of tabloids, they are quite popular. Many people buy tabloids like The Sun which is the biggest-selling newspaper in Britain.

In all parts of the country there are also papers giving information about films, concerts and other things that are happening in the local area. Some local newspapers are free. These contain a lot of advertisements and some news. National serious newspapers like The Times or The Daily Telegraph  generally give information about events happening in London. Most national newspapers express a political opinion.

Daily newspapers are published on every day of the week except Sunday. Sunday newspapers are larger than daily ones. They often have 2 or 3 sections. All Sunday newspapers are national.

• Find  some main sentences in this text. Read and translate them.
• Now write down 6 main sentences from the text and write down your own opinion about this text.
• Let’s check.
• Now your task will be to find some English equivalents in the text. Listen to me.

Ежедневные газеты публикуются каждый день недели за исключением воскресенья.

В Британии есть два вида газет.

Многие люди покупают таблоиды.

Они содержат много реклам и немного новостей.

У них обычно 2, 3 раздела.

Все воскресные газеты – национальные.

Большинство национальных газет выражает политическое мнение.

5. Вопросы к тексту.

- Your task will be to ask some questions to the sentences of the text.

Example:

- When are daily newspapers published?

6. Домашнее задание

h/w: to ask 5 questions to the text, to learn new words.
