Сделать изучение грамматики на уроках английского языка интересным – это одна из задач учителя. Для осуществления этой цели одних красочных учебников грамматики недостаточно, монотонное использование правил в предложениях становиться через некоторое время скучным занятием. На этом этапе учителю важно показать, что изучаемые грамматические формы на самом деле вполне востребованы в современном языке и, более того, эти, на первый взгляд, громоздкие речевые формы с легкостью используются носителями языка в  известных всем песнях. Помимо живого интереса, использование популярных песен на уроке помогает закрепить изучаемую структуру в сознании ученика путем многократного ее повторения. Поэтому я убеждена, что данный вид работы позволит значительно сократить время, необходимое для достижения конкретной цели.

В данной таблице приведены лишь несколько примеров использования известных песен при изучении английской грамматики.

Далее я привожу тесты этих песен, в которых выделены изучаемые грамматические структуры.

THE DAY BEFORE YOU CAME    

  Must have left my house at eight, because I always do.
My train, I'm certain, left the station just when it was due.

With letters to be read,
and heaps of papers waiting to be signed.

It's funny, but I had no sense of living without aim,
