 Satellite “Yekaterinburg – London”  «Телемост Екатеринбург - Лондон»

  Цель:  отработка навыков устной речи по теме «Екатеринбург - Лондон»;

 Задачи:   ▪ тренировка навыков чтения и говорения по теме «Екатеринбург -  Лондон»;

                 ▪ активизация фонетических и лексических навыков;

                 ▪ актуализация навыков вопросно-ответной работы;  

Оборудование: Наглядный материал «Достопримечательности   Екатеринбурга и Лондона», карточки с транскрипцией слов, компьютер, проектор, презентация к уроку.  

Ход урока:

I. Организационный момент

1. Good morning, boys and girls! Sit down, please.

     I’m glad to see you. How are you today?

2. Who is on duty today?
3. What is the date today?
4. Who is absent today?
5. Let’s start our lesson now.
6. Today we’ll talk about English city London and our native city Yekaterinburg. As you know London is the capital of the UK and as for our city people sometimes say that Yekaterinburg is the third capital after Moscow and St. Petersburg.   (1 слайд)

II. Развитие навыков произношения

And the first task for you is pronunciation. Please look at the blackboard.

Let’s read the words in transcription on the topic “London and Yekaterinburg”.      

          Can you guess their meaning?     (2 слайд)

III. Речевая разминка (актуализация навыков вопросно-ответной работы)

         I’ll ask you some questions and we’ll try to compare our city and London:

7. Is London an old city? How old is it? And how old is our city?
8. Is London big? Is it bigger than Yekaterinburg?
9. What river does London stand on? And what about our river?
10. What is the main square in London?  – In Yekaterinburg?
11. What is the name of the famous clock in London?  (Its name is Big Ben.)

12. Does the Queen of Britain live in the Tower? (No, she doesn’t 't.)

-Where does the coronation of all British Kings and Queens take place? (It is symbol of England. The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place in Westminster Abbey. Some famous people are buried there.)

13. What places in London do you like to visit?    

▪ And now please look at the pictures and remember some places of interest in Yekaterinburg and in London.

I want you to open your books, page 71,  ex. 32. Read the adverts for visitors to London  and translate them. You will have the same task at home.

VI. Домашнее задание: ex. 32, page 71

Write your own advertisement for visitors to your city.   (слайд 4)

VII. Закрепление лексических навыков

And now please open your exercise books.

Let’s make an exercise in written form.

You should split different places of interest in two columns.

The first one is Yekaterinburg and the second one is London.

Please fill in the table and then we’ll check it.
