Тема урока: Bestest Best Friend Forever And Always

Цель урока:  Урок-обобщение по теме «Лучшие друзья навсегда».

Задачи урока:

Учебно-образовательные:

• развитие навыков аудирования, чтения и художественного перевода,
• расширение лексического запаса,
• активизировать в речи лексический и грамматический запас,
• расширение знаний о стране изучаемого языка.

Развивающие:

• развитие творческого мышления,
• расширение кругозора,
• развитие логического мышления,
• развитие памяти, смекалки, сообразительности.

Воспитательные: 

• развитие навыков работы в парах, уважения к предмету, к странам изучаемого языка, развитие познавательного интереса у учащихся к культуре англоязычных стран.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска, компьютер, проектор, раздаточный материал “Student’s card”(Приложение 1), аудиозапись, видеозапись.

Рекомендуется предложить ребятам свои силы в написании художественного перевода  стихотворений английских авторов. В статье приводятся выполненные самими детьми переводы

План урока.

1. The beginning of the lesson

(Слайд 1.) Учитель: Hello, Everyone. The topic of our lesson is BBFFAA.I want Mary to start our lesson with a wonderful poem by Reba Gibson .

Ученик:

 You are there when I need you

You always have my back

You uplift me when I'm sad

You always make me smile

You cry when I cry

You smile when I smile

You laugh when I laugh

You never judge me

You always keep my secrets

You brighten up my day

You always show you love me

You are my sister from another mister

You are awesomely fantastical

Who am I talking about?

You, because you are my BBFFAA

Учитель: Now you see what BBFFAA means. That’s “Bestest Best Friend Forever And Always”  and we are going to talk about friendship and close and dear friends. During the lesson you’ll listen to some other poems. Some pupils of your class tried to translate them into Russian. It was a difficult task but they did all their best to do it in lyrics. I’d like you to listen to the translation of the first poem (Приложение 2)

2. Warming-up.

(Слайд 2-3) Учитель:  There are a lot of proverbs in different languages. You can see some Russian and English proverbs. Match them. One example for you:

“A friend in need is a friend indeed.” The Russian proverb with the same meaning is: “Друг познается в беде.”

English proverbs are:

1. Before you make a friend eat a bushel of salt with him.
2. A friend is not so soon got as lost.
3. Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other is gold.
4. A friend to everybody is a friend to nobody.
5. A man is known by his friend.
6. The only way to have a friend is to be one.
7. Money can’t buy friendship.
8. One man – no man.

Russian proverbs are:

1. Старый друг лучше новых двух.
2. Друга узнать – вместе пуд соли съесть.
3. Нет друга, так ищи, а нашел, так береги.
4. Единственный способ иметь друга – это быть другом.
5. Друга на деньги не купишь.
6. Один в поле не воин.
7. Скажи мне кто твой друг, и я скажу, кто ты.
8. Друзей-то много,  да друга нет.

3. Reading.

Wise people of different times have discussed the problems of friendship. (Слайд 4) In the picture you can see a famous philosopher in ancient Greece. His name was Socrates.

A True Friend (Socrates)

 One day a young boy met the (1)__great__ philosopher and said, "Do you know what I heard about your friend?". "Hold on a (2)___________," Socrates replied. "Ok, but first I'd like you to (3)________ a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test. Are you absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?" "No," the man said, "in fact I just heard about it and...". "All right," said Socrates. "So you don't know if it's true or not. Учитель:  Best Friends means different things to different people. What is a true friend? What’s he/she like?

Task: You should continue the sentence on the board using different words.

A friend is a person who is/can/has……..(kind, optimistic, polite, true, gentle, witty, cheerful, realistic, loving, shy, tolerant, honest, kindhearted, useful, helpful, keep secrets, trust me, share my secrets, cheer me up, help at any moment, keep a promise, cope with problems,  a sense of humor,  goodness) One poem more for you.  Best friends are angels,

That God sent along.

They always stay beside you,

Whenever things go wrong.

I'm glad that god blessed me,

With a good friend such as you.

A person to be there,

A person to get me through.

 All the pain and suffering,

Will be too much for my heart.

7.  Speaking.

Task: I know that in your class there are some couples of friends. Tell about your friendship just like Yana and Jana did.

Учитель: Children, I'd like to know if you are yourself good friends. Let's make a test.

Are you a good friend?

1. Do you share a friend's secrets with others? (No   Yes)
2. Do you wish your friends on their Birthday? (No   Yes)
3. Do you get into arguments with friends? (No   Yes)
4. If your friend is feeling depressed, do you try to cheer him/her up? (No   Yes)
5. Do you know about likes and dislikes of your friends? (No   Yes)
6. Are you polite with your friends? (No   Yes)
7. Do you pay compliments when due? (No   Yes)
8. Do you share things with your friends? (No   Yes)
9. Do you spend time with a friend when he/she is unwell? (No   Yes)

Results:

0-3 points: Many people think you are unfriendly. You are a person who sometimes can be not very helpful. You are a little bossy too.

4-6 points: You are a good friend but why not always. You can give a helping hand and do not demand much. But you still do not know many things about your friend. Make the friendship stronger.

10. рoints: You are a true friend. Everyone would like to have such a close friend as you are.

10.Listening(Слайд 13.)

Учитель: Have you ever heard the name of Michael Jackson. In 1972 he was a teenager just like you. He was 12 years old. He sang with his family. There were seven people in the family group. His first solo song was Ben. This song is about true friend.

Listen to the song and fill in the missing words.
