Внеклассное мероприятие “The world of Harry Potter”

I. Начало:

-          A long time ago the magic appeared in the world. The natural magic has got 4 elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth. Four great magicians were masters of these elements: Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff (заставка на экране – первые слайды)

• Dear pupils ! We are very glad to see you as participants of our intellectual competition! We are going to find out how well you know the books and films about Harry Potter. The theme of today’s lesson is “Welcome to Hogwarts.” Today you will learn in the magic school. You will do different tasks and collect points for right answers. In the end of the lesson the winners will have diplomas. But before let’s remember what we know about Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Magic. This is a route. At first we will go to School. (Первые слайды о школе – маршрут по карте).

2. Распределяющая шляпа – индивидуальное говорение.

- And now we will divide into 4 teams. This is sorting hat. It will sort you to 4 teams.

-  So, there are 4 teams. Let’s find out which faculty you belong to. Now I want you to wear/put on the sorting hat. 

- Let the magic begin!

- My congratulations! You’ve joined the House of brave and noble magicians - The House of Gryffindor.

- You’ve joined the House of ambitious magicians - The House of Slytherin.

- You’ve joined the House of hardworking and honest magicians - The House of Hufflepuff.

- You’ve joined the House of intelligent and creative magicians. - The House of Ravenclaw.

(Ученики вытягивают из шляпы эмблемы факультетов, распределяются по командам, говоря фразу Today I’m in…

- Now you’ll have to do different tasks and collect as many points as you can. At the end of the lesson the team with the most points wins the House Cup.

III. Уроки по расписанию.

1. - This is the timetable. The first  lesson is Portions.

Have a look at your envelopes, you will find everything for your potion.

(В конвертах файл с распечатанным котлом, рецептом зелья и ингредиентами. Дети должны выбрать правильные ингредиенты и наклеить на котел. Далее защита работы – один участник зачитывает рецепт, второй показывает на котле.)

2. You are almost late for next lesson – Deffence  Against the Dark Arts. We’ll make the Wizard’s tournament. These are the pictures and photos of Evil wizards. You should match them with their descriptions and say the Charms against them. (Команды получают карточки с изображением «темных волшебников» и с их описанием внешности. Ребята должны сопоставить изображения с описанием, вспомнить и сказать любое заклинание против представителей темных сил.)

3. Welcome to the last lesson – Transfiguration. (Игра «Угадай животное». Один человек из команды должен описать животное, команда угадывает. Нужно расколдовать максимальное количество животных за минуту, используя фразы It is.., It can.., It has got../ лексика – части тела, цвета, действия).

Животные  на карточках : 1Dog, 1Cat, 3cow, 2 parrot, 2fish, 3elephant, 4rabbit, 4fox, 7bear, horse, pig, 5crocodile, 7wolf, 8lion, 5snake, 9monkey, 6giraffe, 8tiger, 9mouse, 6zebra…

IV.  1. Квиз. Презентация ‘Harry Potter Quiz’ (слайды 19-30). For each right answer the team gets 1 point. If one team gives a wrong answer, the other team will get a chance to answer this question correctly. We will write down your points.

So, question # 1 is for the team        

Question # 2 is for the team        

• Let’s sum up: For the first task the team gets.... points, the team - ... points.

        2. The contest of leaders. (Слайды 20-21 вторая презентация).

- You have to put these pictures in the correct order and describe one situation, which is shown in the pictures.

(Раздать командам листы с наборами картинок со слайдов 20 и 21)

You will get 1 point for the right order of the pictures and 1 point for each right description. Each leader of your teams must describe one picture.

30 second for preparation. (Key: Set 1 – ЕCBDFA;  Set 2 – BDЕFAC)

Please, come to the blackboard and hang these pictures in the right order.

3. The contest of fans.

- You have a chance to help your group to get 1 point. (К доске выходят болельщики за каждую команду и вытягивают задание, где нужно вставить пропущенные слова).

Ok, the time is up. The … team starts.

V. Подведение итогов

- Let’s sum up: …team gets.... points, the … team - ... points. (Both teams have got equal number of points).

- Let’s count the points.
