Цели урока:
Образовательная: Развитие навыка чтения с целью детального понимания. Практика выполнения тестов в формате ЕГЭ.
Развивающая: развивать умение выделять главное, развивать мышление, память, совершенствовать навыки устной речи.
Воспитательная: воспитание чувства любви к Родине; развивать коммуникативные навыки.
ХОД УРОКА
1. Организационный момент.
Teacher: Good morning. Take your seats, please, and get ready for the lesson. If you are ready for the lessons, let's start. Look at the blackboard. Please, say. What will you speak at the lesson today?
Pupil. I think, we'll speak about our country.
2. Warming-up
Teacher: Home is considered to be one of the best places. What do you think of? Do you like to live in your country? Give your reasons:
Pupil 1: Yes. I live with my parents in my house. I have a lot of friends.
Pupil 2: No.
Teacher: Where would you like to live?
Pupil 2: I would like to live in the UK.
Teacher: Why?
Pupil 2: I want to meet with the Queen. I often watch TV and I know England is a green and clean country.
Teacher: Today we shall talk about the world around us. Is it big or large? It depends on your knowledge of the world, how much you know: the more you know, the larger world is. But it is always beautiful and interesting. Take, for example, London. It is beautiful and there are so many sights to see. What are they? Which of them would you like to see and why? (P1-P5)
3. Развитие навыков устной речи.
Teacher: Look at these pictures and answer the questions:
- Why might people want to visit these places?
- What places would you prefer to visit? Why?
Teacher: Name the places you would like to live in and name the reasons what made you want to live there.
Teacher: Would you like to live in these places?
Teacher: If you happen to choose a place for living, what kind of place it would be. (P1-P3)
4. Развитие навыка чтения с целью детального понимания.
Teacher: Not only you but teens from other countries choose the place to live. They share the opinions about the places they would like to live in.
YOUR TASK is 1) make home group of four. Read one of the stories below (each pupil reads A, B, C, C). Be sure to know the answer to the questions. Find out what best place to live in.
2) Ask three questions concerning the symbols of each country. Be sure to know the answers to the questions.
3) Give the best title for each story.
4) Meet in expert groups. Compare your answers for the task. 5) What information did you learn about these countries? 6) What would you tell friends about U.S.A., U.K, Russia and Australia.7) Meet in your home groups. Take turns to retell and explain to your team-mates the story you have prepared.
5.Развитие навыков устной речи
Teacher: You know many English proverbs about” homes “and here is one of them “There is no place like home”.
Teacher: Yes, you right. The best place to live is our home town or a village. You will never forget it. They are near us: our rivers, lakes, forests. Sometimes we think that these places are the most beautiful. Other places have no beautiful streets, parks, beautiful buildings as we have, but people love them too. People are proud of these places, because they live and work there. We live in Russia and we are proud of our country. Russia is our homeland. But Belgorod is our small homeland.
P1- read a poem “Oh, Russia I am in love with you!”
Teacher: On October, 14 we celebrate “Flag’s day”. Our Belgorod region has its own symbols too.

P2- “emblems of Belgorod region”
Teacher: Answer the questions
1) What do red, white, blue colours symbolize?
2) What does the eagle (lion) symbolize? (P1-P2)
6.Teacher: Role game
P1: Belgorod is rich and an interesting place to visit. We have many sights to see. They are……. Many people want to visit our town. Among them is an American delegation. This delegation arrived to our village yesterday. They are our guests. They are- Mr. Brown, a manager from California; Miss West, a manager from California too. Meet them. They want to ask you questions:
1. How old is Mayskay? 2. What places of interests are there in Belgorod? 3. What’s the population of Belgorod?
1. Have you ever been to Russia before?
2. Do you like Russia? 3. What do you do in your companies?
Teacher: Our pupils have prepared а short information about our village.
(Р1-Р5 рассказ о родном поселке)
Teacher: Do you like our village?
P1: Yes, it’s modern and beautiful. Our village is only 54. But don’t forget to visit other Belgorod towns, such as……
7. Развитие навыков чтения с извлечением информации.
Teacher: Your task is to read the text about the famous Belgorod actor- M. S. Schapkin and complete the sentences.
1. Schapkin was an…… 2. He was born in ……. 1988, 1788, 1888.
3. Schapkin is a pride of……. Cinema, theater, literature.
4. There is Schepkin…… museum, house in the village of Krasnoye.
Teacher: Our dear guests we advise you to visit the village of Krasnoye, where Schapkin was born.
Teacher: My dear pupils, Let me hope that you will do everything to make our region, our village the most beautiful place in the world.
8. Практика выполнения тестов в формате ЕГЭ.
Прочитайте приведенный ниже текст. Преобразуйте, если необходимо, слова, напечатанные заглавными буквами в конце строк, обозначенных номерами В11- В16, так , чтобы они грамматически и лексически соответствовали содержанию текста. Заполните пропуски полученными словами.( См.Е.С. Музланова ЕГЭ 2014г. вариант №16)

9. Заключительный этап урока. Подведение итогов, домашнее задание.
