Сценарий внеклассного мероприятия или литературного урока по английскому языку:

«Мелодии британской поэзии».

« The melodies of the British Poetry».

Для учащихся 8-9 классов

Костюмированные персонажи: В. Шекспир, шотландцы.

Ведущие: учитель, ученики.

Декорации: аутентичные эпохам поэзии презентация, плакаты, рисунки, декорации поэтического салонаю

Цель мероприятия: расширение и углубление знаний британской литературы, развитие нравственно-эстетических навыков и страноведческих знаний. Рекомендовано к программе развития одарённых детей и элективных курсов по английскому языку.

Shakespeare: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to our English Poetry Club!

Ведущая 1: We are glad to meet you today here because we’ve gathered together to speak about glorious British Poetry.

Ведущая 2: This literary salon we are going to devote to the three most famous British poets: Robert Burns, William Shakespeare and George Gordon Byron.

В1: I even remember some poems. For example:

My heart’s in the Highlands,

My heart is not here…. ()

В2:

To be or not to be,

That is the question. (W. Sh.)

В1: O, my Luve’s like a red, red rose,

That’s newly sprung in June. (R. Burns)

Sh: Let those who are in favour with their stars

Of public honour and proud titles boast,

Whilst I, whom fortune of such triumph bars,

Unlook’d for joy in that I honour most.

В1: Stop! I can’t remember who wrote these words!

В2: So, I’d like to introduce you a famous British poet – William Shakespeare! We are also glad that you’ve come to our club and can answer some questions.

Sh: Thank you for your invitation! I’ll answer your questions with pleasure.

В1: Where were you born?

Sh.: I was born in 1564, in Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s not far from London and I lived there until I was 21. My father opened a shop there. I studied at the Grammar school, where I learned Latin, Greek and other subjects.

В2: And when did you begin to interested in poetry?

Sh.: At that time there were no theatres. Groups of actors traveled from town to town and in different places, usually out-of-doors. Sometimes they came to Stratford and I went to see all their shows. I wanted to become an actor and began to write little plays myself and stage them with my friends.

В1: Why did you leave Stratford?

Sh.: I had a chance to join a company of actors. My friends said I was a good actor and an excellent playwright.

В2: What can you say about your theatre?

Sh.: I have always wanted to build my own theatre, so when my friends and I had enough money we did it. It is called the Globe, you know.

В1: How many plays and poems have you already written?

Sh.: In all I’ve written 37 plays, 2 poems and sonnets. Can you guess what these characters are from?

В2: We’ll try to do it.

В1: Oh, I know. It’s Hamlet!

Sh.: You are right. And some more characters.

Ромео и Джульетта.

В2: I can definitely say, it’s Romeo and Juliet!

Sh.: Great!

В1: By, the way, how many sonnets have you written?

Sh.: I’ve written a sonnet cycle of 155 small pieces. Do you want to listen to?

В2: Sure, with great pleasure!

Character 1– Заботливо готовясь в дальний путь,

Я безделушки запер на замок,

Чтоб на моё богатство посягнуть

Незваный гость какой-нибудь не мог.

Character 2– How careful was I, when I took my way,

Each trifle under truest bars to thrust,

That to my use it might unused stay

From hands of falsehood, in sure wards of trust!

Character 3 – Нас разлучил апрель цветущий бурный.

Всех оживил он веяньем своим.

В ночи звезда тяжёлая Сатурна

Смеялась и плясала вместе с ним.

-Character 4 - From you have I been absent in spring,

When proud-pied April dress’d in all his trim,

Hath put a spirit of youth in every thing,

That heavy Saturn laugh’d and leap’d with him.

Character 5 - кто под звездой счастливою рождён-

Гордится славой, титулом и властью.

А я судьбой скромнее награждён,

И для меня любовь источник счастья.

Shakeapeare – Let those who are in favour with their stars

Герои вместе с Шекспиром понимаются на сцену и исполняются элементы менуэта. Далее композиция на домре.

В1: Thank you very much for visiting us!

В2: We wish you good luck and more ancestors in your literature!

Sh.: Come to our theatre, we’ll be glad to see you! Almost all my comedies and tragedies are staged. You can see «Othello», «Romeo and Juliet», «King Lear», «As you like it» and others. You’ll have a good time in our theatre. Good-bye.

В1: Now, we’ll continue. This poet is known all over the world. His life wasn’t sweet as he was the eldest of seven children in the family.

В2: His father was so poor that the poet and his brother attended school in turn.

В1: Meet Robert Burns!

The Scottish girl – Welcome to Scotland! The native land of Robert Burns! The beauty of Scottish wonderful nature, its fields and mountains, large blue sky inspired him. Robert Burns devoted many poems to his lovely Motherland. Listen to one of his poems.

В1: Hi, dear guests! You are so bright! Where do you live?

– We live in Edinburgh. We are fond of our old songs and we are very proud of our ancient traditions.

В2: And what about the poetry of Robert Burns? Do you like it?

The Scottish girl – Of course, the poems of R. Burns is our cultural heritage. He wrote them not only in English. You can study the old Scottish when you read his poems. We are also preparing for the «Burn’s Night». We’ll celebrate it on the 25th of January.

В1: I know nothing about this holiday or Scottish date.

The Scottish girl – Oh! It’s a wonderful holiday in our country! We remember our national poet R. Burns. All Scottish people gather this day and recite his poems, sing his songs. Robert Burns was an extraordinary person!

The Scottish girl – Yes, it’s a special day. We wear our traditional clothes, the men wear kilts, play the bagpipes and sing «Auld Lang Syne». We are happy! Join us!
