План – конспект урока английского языка в 10 классе

«To live in harmony with nature»

Тип урока: комбинированный.

Цель урока: к концу урока учащиеся смогут применить новые лексические единицы и обобщенные знания по теме для выполнения проектной работы «Types of pollution»

Задачи урока:

- учебная: введение и отработка нового лексического материала по теме «В гармонии с природой»; формирование лексических и коммуникативных компетенций по теме «To live in harmony with nature»;совершенствование навыков аудирования и чтения;

- познавательная: развивать умение применения полученных умений и навыков в новых условиях, развивать навыки монологической речи, развивать навыки аудирования и чтения.; развитие познавательных интересов учащихся;

- развивающая: развивать навыки и умения в видах речевой деятельности (чтение, говорение), развивать логику, внимание, память, умение строить цельные высказывания;

- воспитательная: прививать интерес к изучению иностранного языка, воспитывать умение работать в коллективе, содействовать формированию у учащихся экологического мышления, убедить учащихся в необходимости бережного отношения к нашей планете.

Дидактический материал:

- презентация к уроку по теме «To live in harmony with nature»

Раздаточный материал:

- лексические упражнения  на карточках;

- карточки с новыми лексическими единицами;

- карточки для групповой работы;

- карточки для домашнего задания.

Формы работы: индивидуальная, фронтальная, парная, групповая.

Методы: репродуктивный (воспроизведение полученных ранее знаний, воспроизведение знаний при выполнении заданий), вербальный (словесное общение на протяжении всего урока), продуктивный, частично-творческий.

Структура урока:

1. Организационный момент.
2. Фонетическая разминка.
3. Развитие навыков аудирования
4. Введение и закрепление лексических единиц
5. Проектная работа. Работа в группах
6. Подведение итогов урока (рефлексия и оценки). Объяснение домашнего задания. Заключение.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

- Good morning, children. I’m very glad to see you today. (slide 1) My name is Vidana Vladimirovna, I’ll be your teacher today. Now take your seats and get ready for the lesson.

2. Фонетическая разминка.

- Now look at the board. (slide 2)  What do you see? Do you like the pictures? Do you recognize these places? Let’s try to describe them, using adjectives that you have learnt last time.

You can begin with; I choose picture because it seems….

Thank you for your descriptions. You make a good job. What emotions do you have?  I feel ….

Now look at the board one more time. (slide 3) What do you feel now?

As you see to live happily a person should be in harmony not only with people around but also with nature. What are we going to talk about? So we are going to talk about the Earth, its beauty and its problems, the influence of man on nature and   learn how to be kinder to our land. (slide 4)  Nature is around us and we all are a part of it. It is nature that makes our planet a beautiful place to live in. As I have already said to solve the global problem we should begin with the solution of our own one. As you see, this problem concerns to our place as well.

On your desks you have sheets of paper I want you to tick the sentences that correspond to you.

3. Развитие навыков аудирования

(slide 5) Do you know this girl? What do you think how old she is? She  is 20 years old.  Her name is Greta Tunberg, a Swedish environmental activist who is internationally known for challenging world leaders to take immediate action against climate change. Her first public appearance at the UN summit was at the age of 16. She was your peer.  I want you to watch to her emotional speech and do the following exercise. You should determine which of the sentences are True or False (slide 6). You should put T or F. You have o e minute to get acquainted with the sentences.

1. Greta complains that she had to make a speech at th UN summit instead of studying at the university.
2. She accuses the world leaders of stealing her childhood with their empty words
3. Greta also notes that for the last 50 years science has been crystal clear.
4. The popular idea of cutting our emissions in half in 10 years only gives us a 50% chance of staying below 1.5 degrees
5. She is absolutely sure that with today's emissions levels, that remaining CO2 budget will be entirely gone within less than 16 years
6. At the end of her speech, Greta Tunberg also noted that air pollution has led to an increase of diseases among the population.

4. Введение и закрепление лексических единиц

Now look at the board. Let’s try to guess the meaning of the word and match the word and its translation

Look at this little rhymes, I composed ton you (slide 7) Some words are missing. Let’s try to use new word in an appropriate form.

Have you ever heard a shrill

Of the seagull in an OIL SPILL?

Not to live forever in fear

Let’s forget the word «NUCLEAR»!

All the efforts may become in vain

If we forget about ACID RAIN

To conserve a usual life cycle

Don’t forget you should RECYCLE!

REMEMBER!

You should act a little braver

To become a nature SAVIOUR!

5. Проектная работа. Работа в группах

Now we are going to work in groups. Let’s split into three groups.We should make three different posters. Choose the card please. It is the problem you should describe on your posters. You can use all that you have on your desks. You should state the problem (Title), use or draw the pictures. Your posters should contain the reasons of the problem and the possible solution that you can offer.

Now I’ ll give you  these  sheets of paper. I want you to tick the sentences that you will try not to do. Compare these 2 lists. If there are some changes, so I’m definitely sure that this lesson wasn’t in vain. (was very useful)
