1. The Milan theater of La Scala is the most famous theater in the world. It was built in 1778. The hall in the form of a horseshoe has five tiers of boxes. On the stage of La Scala sounded works of famous composers Bellini, Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi. The theater is famous its impeccable acoustics.
2. Many people associate Australia with the building of the Opera House in Sydney. It’s one of the main attractions of the country, because Opera House is the most iconic theaters of our time. The opening took place in 1973. During construction, the main emphasis was on acoustics and visibility. That's why every spectator of the theater feels as if he bought a ticket for the best place in the hall.
3. The Bolshoi Theater in Moscow is one of the leading theaters in Russia and around the world. Together with the best symphony orchestra, he experienced the fire, the war and the revolution. At the entrance visitors are greeted by a statue of Apollo in a chariot, anticipating grandiose performances taking place in the theater. The ballet troupe of the theater is well known. Yuri Grigorovich put here the legendary "Swan Lake" and "Golden Age". The big one was opened after a large-scale reconstruction in 2011.
4. Vienna State Opera was built in 1869, the theater for a long time had a reputation as the center of the musical life of Vienna and all of Austria. During the Second World War, the building was bombed and almost destroyed. Miraculously preserved staircase and some more parts. Vienna opera was restored only in 1955. Today it continues to be one of the world's major opera sites. Under the arches of the Vienna Opera, traditional balls are held annually.
5. Palau de la Musica Catalana is the Palace of Catalan Music in Barcelona. The building was officially opened in 1908 and almost immediately became a symbol of the city. A magnificent glass ceiling, rich murals, stained-glass windows and sculptures turned it into a real work of art. This is one of the few theaters included in the list of cultural heritage of UNESCO.
6. The Les Celestins Theater is the main center of the art of the city of Lyon in France. It is an opera house that is suitable for grandiose performances and can accommodate more than 1000 people. Hall in the form of a horseshoe is divided into several levels, so even those sitting far from the stage viewers all well see and hear. The interior is made in the royal style with the use of red and gold tones.
7. London's Royal Opera House Convent Garden is well known all over the world. On his stage there are performances of the Royal Opera and  the Royal Ballet. In this majestic building stars of world classical music performed, since 1858.
8. Another famous world stage is the Metropolitan Opera House on Broadway in New York. It is the best theater in the USA. His leading roles were performed by such celebrities as Enrico Caruso and Placido Domingo.
9. The Odeon of Herod Atticus in Athens. This is a classic ancient amphitheater, built in 161 AD. E. Initially, there was a roof over it, but it was destroyed. The theater accommodates 5,000 people, and on its stage there are still performances, ballet and other events. Even Elton John gave his concert at the Odeon.
