Classroom English

1. The lesson begins:

• Get ready for the lesson, please / Приготовьтесь к уроку, пожалуйста.            
• Goog morning (afrernoon), friends / Доброе утро (день), друзья.
• I am glad to see you / Я рада вас видеть
• Hello, boys and girls / Здравствуйте, мальчики и девочки
• How do you do? / Как ваши дела?
• Please, stand up\sit down / Пожалуйста, встаньте \садитесь.
• Let's begin our lesson / Давайте начнём урок.
• Who is on duty in your class (group) today? – Кто дежурит сегодня в вашем классе (группе)?
• What date\day is it today? / Какое сегодня число\день
• Let’s sing a (our) song (together) / Давайте споем песню
• Attention! Are you ready? / Are you ready to begin? / Внимание! Вы готовы? Мы можем начинать?

2. Main part:

• What was your homework? / Какое домашнее задание у вас было?
• Have you done your homework? / Ты выполнил домашнее задание?
• Show me your homework / Покажите мне ваше домашнее задание
• Is this correct? / Это правильно?
• Do you know …? / Do you remember …? / Вы знаете? / Вы помните?
• What is this called in English? / Как это будет по-английски?
• What does it mean? / Что это значит?
• Listen to me. Say...  / Послушайте меня. Скажите...
• Repeat after me! / Повторяйте за мной!
• Let’s play (together) / Давайте поиграем
• Let’s tell the story about … / Расскажем историю о…
• Can you write it on the board? / Вы можете это написать на доске?

3. The lesson is over:

• That is all for today / На сегодня всё.
• Open your dairies / Откройте ваши дневники.
• Write down your homework / Запишите домашнее задание.
• Complete the exercise at home / Закончите упражнение дома.                              
• You have got a 5 today / Вы получили сегодня 5
• Your mark  is a 5 / Ваша оценка 5
• I give you a 5 / Я ставлю Вам оценку 5
• See you tomorrow! / Увидимся завтра!
• See you on Monday! / Увидимся в понедельник!
• Thank you / Спасибо.
• Have a good weekend! / Хорошо провести выходной!
• Goodbye. Have a good day! / До свидания. Хорошего дня!

4. Blackboard Activity.

• Come out to the board, please. (When the teacher is at the front of the class)
• Go to the board, please. (When the teacher is standing at the back of the class)
• Step aside so that everyone can see.
• Is there anything to correct?
• What letter is missing? There’s a … missing
• Write it with the capital …
• Write it as one word (… words).
• Let’s read the sentences from the board.
• Use the duster (sponge).
• Write it down in your notebooks.
• Go to your seat.
• Now put aside your textbooks and look at the blackboard.
• Could you write it up on the board, please?
  Cross out the extra letter.
  Rub off that word and write the correct one instead.
• Underline that word.
• I’ll finish the class by showing you a film/some slides.
• What is happening in this picture?
• What can you see in the foreground/ background/center/right-hand corner/at the bottom of the picture?
• I’ll let this pictures go round. Have a look and then pass it on.
• Come out and point to … on the map.

5. New home task.

• For homework do exercise … on page ... 
  Your homework is to learn the words on page ...
• At home read and translate text … (the whole text/ the first three paragraphs up to the words…)
  Take down the words you don’t know in your vocabulary book.
• Prepare the text on page … for reading.
• (Ask / make up/ think up) … questions on the text.
  Answer the questions on page ...
  Prepare to reproduce the text in your own words.
  Do exercise … on page … in writing (orally).
• Revise the words and expressions from Lesson ...
  Learn the poem by heart.
  Make up questions / a story about the picture on page ...
  Do you all understand what you have to do for homework?
  Write down the homework in your record books.
