№1 My family

We are a family of four. I have got a mother, a father, a sister. I haven’t got a brother. My mother’s name is Marina. She is 34. She is a manager. My mother likes reading books and cooking. She is a very nice woman. My father’s name is Dmitry. He is 36. He is a doctor.  He likes playing football very much. He is a very kind man.

My sister’s name is Olga.  She is 2 years old. She is a funny little girl. She likes playing with her toys. My name is Tanya. I’m ten. I’m a pupil. I like playing computer games and reading books. My favorite lesson is Russian.

I love my family very much.

Nikita is 10 years old. He is my classmate. He is very kind and funny. He likes sports. He likes to play football very much. His favorite lesson is English. We like to play games together. Nikita is a good friend. I love him very much.

№3 My day

My name is Sasha. I’m in the 4th form. Usually I get up at 7 o’clock. I clean my teeth, wash my face and put on my clothes. Then I have breakfast with my family. I often drink tea and eat some sandwiches. After breakfast I go to school. I get to school by bus. At school I usually have 4 or 5 lessons.

 At 3 o’clock I go home after school. I have lunch at 4 o’clock. Usually I eat soup and salad for lunch. After lunch I go for a walk with my friends. At 7 o’clock I do my homework. At 8 o’clock I have supper. At 9 o’clock I read books, watch TV or play computer games. At 10 o’clock I always go to bed.

№4 My birthday

I celebrate my birthday on the 9th of January. It’s a great holiday for me. I usually invite my friends, relatives and classmates to my house. I put on my best clothes. My mother cooks a lot tasty food: salads, chicken, pizza and cakes.

When my guests come, they sing me a song and give me presents. I like presents very much! I thank guests for the presents. After it we sit at the table and eat and drink. We like to sing songs, dance and play. I’m very happy on that day. I like to celebrate my birthday and to go to my friend’s birthdays.

№5 New Year

We celebrate New Year on the 31st of December. It’s a family holiday. We usually celebrate New Year at home. My father buys a New Year tree and we decorate it with stars, bells, colored balls and lights.

My mother and father always go to the shop before this holiday and buy a lot of food. My mother usually cooks tasty food: chicken, potatoes, salads, cakes. I always help my mother in the kitchen.

 In the evening I usually put on my beautiful dress (suit). At night we sit at the table. When the clock strikes 12 we drink some champagne and wish happy New Year. My parents always give me presents. We like to dance and sing very much.  New Year is a magic holiday. I like it very much.

№ 6 My favorite season.

There are 4 seasons in a year: wither, spring, summer and autumn.

Winter months are: December, January and February. In winter it’s usually very cold. It often snows. People wear warm clothes. Children usually ski and skate in winter.

March, April and May are spring months. The weather is warm in spring. Sometimes it rains.

Summer months are: June, July and August. Summer is the hottest season of the year. The weather is hot and sunny. People like swimming in summer.

After summer comes autumn. Autumn months are: September, October, and November. The weather is usually cold and windy. Children go to school in autumn.

My favorite season is summer because my birthday is in summer and also I like hot weather very much.

№7 My pet.

I have got a pet. It’s a dog. My dog’s name is Rex. He is 10 years old. Rex is brown. He has got big ears and a long tail.

Rex is a very clever dog. He knows his name. Rex understands my commands “come”, “sit”, “take the ball”, “go for a walk”. My mother usually buys Rex dog’s food. Rex likes to eat dog’s food and drink water and milk.

My mother looks after the dog. She takes Rex for a walk, gives him food and washes him.  I like to play with my dog very much. Sometimes we walk in the park together. We play with a ball or a stick. I love my dog very much.
