It’s a wonderful world we live in. For a long time the Earth has has given support to all forms of life. Our planet is in danger now. What each of us can do for our planet? One popular singer once answered this question in his song. It was Michael Jackson.

Heal the World

Make it a better place,

For You And for Me

And the Entire Human Race.

These words will be the epigraph of the lesson The Earth needs a friend.

Your classmate got an individual task at the last lesson. She wrote a letter on behalf our Mother Earth. Listen to it and say what environmental problems are mentioned in the text.

Ученик читает письмо (см. приложение 1) Затем другие учащиеся говорят о тех проблемах, которы затронуты в тексте. Предполагаемые ответы учащихся:

What can we do to save the Earth? You will create a poster for the pupils in your school.

There are 3 envelopes on the table. Each of them has material for this task (pictures and some ideas). You can see the plan of the presentation on the board.

Group 1 What Can We Do to Save the Earth?

1.Reduce noise pollution

2. Stop cutting down trees

3. Stop making plastics

4. Don’t drop burning cigarettes

5. Recycle most kinds of paper

Group 2 What Can We Do to Save the Earth?

1. Stop tear the rapping off sweets and throw it away

2. Reduce air pollution

3. Feed wild animals and birds

4. Never drop litter everywhere

5. Clean water in rivers and lakes

Group 3 What Can We Do to Save the Earth?

1.Recycle glass, metal & plastic

2. Save energy & water

3. Clean local environment

4. Walk or cycle

5. Take as much rubbish as you can to local recycling center

Введение нового грамматического материала.

Speaking about environmental problems we need new grammar models. So, today I will tell you about Conditionals.

На доске памятки (см. приложение 2)

Подводит учащихся к самостоятельному формулированию правила. Затем предлагает проверить правильность сформулированного правила, прочитав теорию в учебнике на стр. 45.

Формулируют правило. Затем читают справочную информацию в учебнике.

Активизация изученного материала.

Предлагает применить полученные знания на практике.

Ex.21 p.45 Read and translate the sentences. What type of Conditionals is it?

Контролирует правильность выполнения задания.

Учащиеся читают и переводят предложения.

Развитие умений аудирования.

5 минут

Some people say that we can’t solve any problem without money. What would you do if you had a million dollars? One Canadian rock group “Barenaked Ladies” has found an answer to this question. Listen to their song and say what they would do.

 Песня “If I had a million dollars” (см. приложеие 3) What type of Conditional Sentences is used in the song?

Учащиеся слушают песню.

Во время прослушивания их задачапоставить фрагменты песни, отмеченные буквами английского алфавита в нужной последовательности.

Развитие умений говорения с употреблением в речи нового грамматического материала.

Создаёт условия для закрепления материала. Эстафета. You will take part in a relay race & make up sentences. You will have the Earth in your hands. Be careful. Don’t drop it.

Контролирует выполнение задания.

Учащиеся  передают мяч, стилизованный под глобус, и строят предложения с  Conditional II по цепочке (задания на карточке) (см. приложение 4)

Развитие умений выразительного чтения.

Ex. 23 p. 45 Listen and read the poem.

Слушают стихотворение в записи. Затем один ученик читает его вслух.

Рефлексия.

Оценивание знаний.

Организует рефлексию учащихся. Предлагает выполнить тест из пяти заданий на первичное закрепление грамматического материала.
