Тема: «Закрепление изученного лексико-грамматического материала модуля 5» (Where were you yesterday?)
Тип урока: урок повторения изученного лексико-грамматического материала.
Цель и задачи:
предметные:
- повторить и закрепить использование в письменной и устной речи форм глагола «to be» (was/were) в Past Simple (в простом прошедшем времени - утвердительная, вопросительная и отрицательная формы);
- повторить и закрепить порядковые числительные в письменной и устной речи;
- развивать навыки чтения и понимания текста на основе изученного лексико-грамматического материала;
- развивать навыки монологической речи по теме «Birthdays».
метапредметные:
- совершенствование навыков монологической речи, грамматики и чтения;
- развитие умения работать в коллективе.
личностные:
- развитие умения слушать;
- воспитание культуры общения;
- воспитание самостоятельности;

Ход урока:
1. Организационный момент (слайд №1)
T: Hello boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Take your seats and get ready for the lesson.
T: What’s the date today? (слайд №2)
S: Today is the 20th of February.
T: Who is absent today?
S: Nobody is absent today.
T: What day of the week is it?
S: Today is Monday.
T: What is the weather like today?
S: It is cold. It is not sunny. The sky is grey and white. It is cloudy.
T: What is the season?
S: It is winter.
T: As you know we will write the test next lesson. How do you think what we are going to do at this lesson?
S: We are going to revise words, ordinal numbers, the verb “to be” in Past Simple.
T: You are absolutely right. Today we are going to (слайд №3):
- revise ordinal numbers;
- revise the verb “to be” in Past Simple;
- make up short dialogues;
- read the text about birthday party;
- ask and answer the questions;
- tell about birthday party.
T: First of all I suggest you to revise ordinal numbers and practice our pronunciation.

T: Look at the blackboard, listen to me and repeat all together, please.

T: Now let’s write these numbers with letters.
3. Речевая зарядка.
T: Boys and girls, do you know that my birthday is on the 21 of January. When is your birthday, …?
S: My birthday is on the … of…
T: …ask … when his (her) birthday.
S1: When is your birthday, …?
S2: My birthday is on the … of…
T: And my birthday was last. When was your birthday, …?
S: My birthday was last week (3 days ago).
4. Основная часть.
T: Boys and girls look at the screen, please (слайд №4). You can see some sentences and red words: yesterday, ago, last week. What can you say about these words?
S: They are key-word in Past Simple.
T: You are right. And what do you know about blue words?
S: “To be” has got two forms: was and were.
T: You are absolutely right. And now let’s revise when we use “was” and “were”. Listen to the song, please.
T: Now let’s practice. Look at the screen, please (слайд №5). You should use the verb “to be” in Past Simple.
- We …at the park last Sunday.
- He … at school yesterday.
- My sister … at home two days ago.
T: Let’s make questions from these sentences.
S1: Were we at the park last Sunday?
S2: Was he at school yesterday?
S3: Was my sister at home two days ago?
T: Now answer my questions:
- Were you at the park yesterday?
- Were you at the zoo last year?
- Were you at school last Friday?
- Where were you yesterday?
T: It’s time to have a quiz. You can see yellow sheets of paper on your desk. Take them and write your name.
Task: use the verb to be in Past Simple. I give you 3 minutes.

T: Now exchange your sheets. Look at the screen, check up and give a mark (слайды № 6-7)

T: I think you are tired let’s have a rest. Stand up, please. Look at the screen and listen to the song “I’m so happy”.

Mike’s birthday
Mike’s birthday was in the country house last summer. The weather was fine and the boy was happy. There were a lot of Mike’s friends there and it was fun.
At the party there was lots of food and drink. There were a lot of balloons in the room where the party was. The children had party hats and played party games. After that it was time for the birthday cake! There were candles on the cake and Mike made a birthday wish.
Then boys and their parents went to the river. The water was very warm and it was funny to swim in the river. Children were not hungry because there were a lot of small food shops there. It was a really interesting day.
