Открытый урок в 5 классе по теме  «My home is my castle»

Цель: систематизация знаний и умений по теме «Мой дом», «предлоги места», «обороты there is/ there are».

Задачи:

1. Активизация лексического материала по теме «Мой дом»;
2. Совершенствование произносительных навыков учащихся;
3. Создание условий для формирования грамматических навыков говорения с использованием структуры there is/there are;
4. Развитие коммуникативных способностей учащихся по теме ;
5. Развитие навыков речевой деятельности, аудирования;
6. Развития умения работать в группе;
7. Развития любви и интереса к иностранному языку.

Оборудование: 1. Презентация;

                               2. Учебник Spotlight 5 класс под редакцией Дж.Дули

                         3. раздаточный материал.

Ход урока:

1. Good morning! Glad to see you, my friends! What date is it today? What day of the week is it today? Today we are going to work in groups. The topic of our lesson is «My home is my castle!» We are going to talk about rooms, flats, homes….(начало презентации)
2. Look at the blackboard, please. What are these? (proverbs) Now I want you to read and translate them. One team-one proverb (СЛАЙД 1).
3. There are rooms in every house. What kind of rooms do you know? Look at the blackboard, please, and name the rooms. Let`s begin from the second floor (СЛАЙД 2)
4.  And now listen to the text carefully and then complete the sentence (ответы: 1house, 2 5 rooms in my house(2 bedroom< a bathroom, a living room, a kitchen),3 a bed, a wardrobe, a table, and a chair, 4 a TV, 5 it is comfortable)
5. Физкультминутка. Let`s have a rest. I see you a bit tired. And your eyes are tired. Let`s help them.

6. And now open your books, please, on page 48 ex 3. Let`s read a dialogue between two girls carefully and then answer my questions.

1. How many rooms are there in the flat?
2. What furniture is there in the flat?

           3.   What about the kitchen?

7.  How do we begin the sentence if we want to describe a room? (There is/there are). Ok, I`ll give you cards and you should make sentences.

1. There are some magazines on the sofa.
2. There are two armchairs in the living room.
3. There are some pictures on the walls.
4. There is a computer on the computer table.
5. There is a carpet on the floor.
6. There is one window in the kitchen.

8. Plan of the room. And now I`d like to read you a letter from Mark. I`ll give you sheets of paper. Listen to the text and draw a plan of the room.

                 Hi! My name is Mark! I would like to tell you about my room. It`s not big, but it`s very light and comfortable. There is a window in my room. My desk is under the window. There is a bookcase on the right of the desk. In front of the desk there is a bed. I also have a bookshelf. It`s above my bed. There is a chest-of-draws next to the bed. And in the middle of the room there is a carpet. That`s all about my room. I like it very much. Write about your room, please.
