Тeacher: Stand up, please.

 Good morning, dear children.

       We are glad to see you.

T: How are you?

Pupil: I am fine, thank you. And you?

T: I am fine too, thank you.

Who is on duty today?

What day of the week is it today?

Ok. Write down the date in your copybooks.

T: Repeat after me. Thank you. Now, Bazar will you read the first proverb and translate it.  Sodnom will read the second proverb. And Sandan will read the last proverb.

T: Good for you. Now tell me, please. How can we name the place where we live?

Ch: A house, a home.

T: Yes, you are right. And what is the difference between these two words. Do you know?

Ch: No, we don’t.

T: We use the word house when we want …..

    We use the word home when we want …..

T: Let’s do phonetic exercise.

T: Listen to the announcer and repeat after him.

T: Let’s play the game. I will tell you some words about members of your family and you should translate them.

Son, nephew, other, father, sister, grandmother, grandfather, niece.

T: Very good. Now, answer my questions.

- Where do you live?

- Do you like your home?

- Can you describe your house?

- Is it a big or small?

T: Can you name these rooms?

Ch: No, we can’t.

T: Do you know what room is it?

P: No, I don’t know.

T: What do you think, what will be the theme of the lesson?

Ch: The theme of our lesson is home, house.

T: Yes, you are right.

What shall we do at the lesson?

Ch: We shall describe our house and rooms.

T: Yes, you are right.

1.T: Look at the board, please. You can see a house with different rooms. First, listen carefully to the announcer and then put these words (the names of rooms) to the right picture.

Children go to the interactive board and do this task.

T: Well done.

2. У нас в доме есть кухня. (on the slide)

T: Translate this sentence.

Ch: We have a kitchen in my house.

T: No, that’s wrong.

Когда мы указываем на наличие (или отсутствие) какого-либо предмета или лица в определенном месте, то мы используем конструкцию: there is/there are

T: Let’s return to the sentence and try to translate it with the help of this construction.

Ch: There is a kitchen in the house.

T: Ok. Well done.

T: Look at the  sentences, compare them and try to make a rule.

1.There is a kitchen, a bedroom and a living room in the house.

2. There are  two kitchens, a bedroom and a living room  in the house.

Ch: When the first noun is singular, we use there is.

When the first noun is plural, we use there are.

T: Excellent. Now we will check your knowledge.

Use right construction there is or there are….

1.There….a telephone in that room.

2.There … three bedrooms in my house.

3. There….a pen on the table.

4. There….many rooms in his house.

Физкультурная минута

T: You will work in groups.

The first group will make a poster of your ideal house.

The second group will make a poster of your own house.

The third group will make a poster of a castle

T: I give you 5 minutes.

T: Time is up. Let’s check your works.

Groups go to the board and describe their houses.

T: You work perfectly. I am glad. Write down your homework:

1.write about your family home/ your grandparent’s home.

2.  learn by heart new words.

3.  make up a poem about your house.

T: And the last if you like the lesson choose yellow cards and put it on the house. If everything was good choose blue cards.
