Study the two photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:

• give a brief description of the photos (action, location)
• say what the pictures have in common
• say in what way the pictures are different
• say which kind of the activities presented in the pictures you'd prefer
• explain why

You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12-15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

1. I have two pictures and I want to describe and compare them.

2. In the first picture I can see a girl who is running in the forest. There are many green trees in the background and the weather is fine and sunny. The girl is wearing light clothes and she is alone. In the second picture I can see a gym with some treadmills and there are three girls who are running on the treadmills.

3. These two pictures have some common features. Firstly, in both pictures you can see girls. Secondly, they are wearing some sports clothes and they are running.

4. However, these two pictures have some differences. The most important difference is the location of the pictures: in the first picture the girl is running outside and she is alone, while in the second picture there are three girls and they are running in the gym. What’s more, the girl from the second picture is running on the path, while the girls from the second picture are using some special running equipment.

5. I’d prefer to go running in the forest in the open air just like the girl from the first picture. And I have some reasons for my choice. Firstly, I think that it is more pleasant for me to go running in the open air. Secondly, I think the atmosphere is the first picture is more relaxing and I am fond of doing sports activities outside.

6. All in all, running is a very good way to keep fit and you can go running in many places. (All in all, tastes are different and people can choose whatever they want).
