Сценарий мероприятия «I can cook!» в 5-х классах

Мероприятие основано на кулинарном шоу ВВС “I can cook”

Цели: Формирование межкультурной компетенции, развитие умений и навыков диалогического и монологического говорения, аудирования, орфографических навыков, организация творческой работы учащихся, развитие воображения, памяти, творческих способностей учащихся, воспитание трудолюбия, умения работать в коллективе, стимулирование интереса к предмету.

Для мероприятия использованы материалы из учебника “Welcome 3” by Elizabeth Gray, Virginia Evans издательства Express Publishing

S1: Oh, I’m starving!  Is there any food in the fridge?

S2: Yes, a lot. But it is uncooked!

S1: Is there any cheese?

S2: Yes, there is some cheese, some chicken and a few biscuits.

S1: Unfortunately we both can’t cook!

S2: But we can ask real professionals to help us!

S1: Off we go!

T1: I can cook!

T2: I can cook! Hello, lovely to see you .We've been getting ready for today's recipe. It's going to be so yummy.

KNOCK AT DOOR

T1: Come in! Hi, Masha. Hi, Vanya.

SS: Good afternoon! We are really hungry! Help us, please!

T1: Do you want to know what recipe
we're going to cook?

SS: Yes!

T2: Today's recipe is going to be...

... Cheesy Chicken

And a team of cooks will help us! Sasha, Dasha, Vadim, Yana, Katya.

T1: We're about ready to start, but there's one thing we've forgotten.

T2: Do you know what it is?
ALL: Wash our hands!

Roll up your sleeves! Give your hands a wash with slippy-dippy soap!

 Splish, splash, splosh!

 Have you done your hands? Washed and dried? Sleeves rolled up? Apron tied?

 What can you do? I can cook!'

C1: We’ll need

Pinch of ground black pepper

2 leaves of basil

Some pastry cups

50g cooked chicken (Ask a grown-up to cook this for you, or you can buy ready cooked.)

25g mozzarella cheese

1 level tablespoon grated cheese such as Cheddar or Parmesan

Some ketchup

C2: Place a pastry cup onto the prepared baking tray Tear up the chicken and put it in the cup. Put the tomato ketchup on top, hiding the chicken.

C3: Squash and break up the mozzarella cheese in a separate bowl with a fork.

C4: Add it on top of the ketchup then sprinkle a pinch of black pepper, some basil and some grated cheese on top

C5: You will need to ask a grown-up for help with this part. Place the baking tray in a pre-heated oven until completely cooked through.

T1: And do you know that tomatoes can be used not only for cooking. Our correspondent from Spain will tell us about it.

Correspondent1: La Tomatina

La Tomatina in Spain is probably the world’s biggest food fight! Every year, on the last Wednesday in August people come to the little town of Buñol to throw tomatoes at each other!

On the day of La Tomatina, big lorries full of tomatoes arrive at the town, ready for the big fight! There are no winners in this fight – you just pick up a ripe tomato and throw it at aanyone you like! The fight lasts for two hours from eleven o'clock to one o'clock and attracts a lot of people, mostly boys and girls. After the tomato fight, the streets look like red rivers! You can stay and have a swim in the tomato juice, if you like! La Tomatina is a fun festival for people of all ages. Next time you want to throw a tomato at someone, you know where to go!

Correspondent2: The Big Cheese

The Big Cheese in Caerphilly, Wales, is probably the world's biggest cheese race. Every year, on the last day of July, people come to the little town of Caerphilly to join in the fun!

It is one of many events. There is also an Art and Crafts market, music and dancing!

On the day of The Big Cheese people run races with a "big cheese" in the shape of a wheel. They run in teams and wear costumes. There's a prize for the winner of the race and the best costume!

The Big Cheese is a fun festival for people of all ages. Next time you want to race with a cheese, you know where to go!

T1: Cheesy chicken is nice but girls like something sweeter. It is going to be yummy. Lemon cheesecake

C6: You will need:

2 oaty digestive-style biscuits

2 dessert spoons of melted butter (get a grown-up to melt it for you)

1 lemon

1 level tablespoon icing sugar

125g mascarpone cheese

C7: Place the biscuits in a greaseproof bag and use a rolling pin to gently bash them until they are crushed up into crumbs.

C8: Place the crushed biscuits in a bowl and pour in the melted butter. Mix well; the crumbs will change colour as they soak up the butter. Then spoon the crumbs into the bottom of the dishes and press it down firmly with your fingers to make a base.

C9: Take a lemon and roll it on the table top, pressing down firmly to loosen the juice inside. Cut the lemon in half, and squeeze the juice from half of each fruit into a clean bowl.

C10: Add the mascarpone cheese and icing sugar and mix them together with the juice with a fork.

C6: Using the two-spoon method, spoon the cheesy mixture into the dishes to hide the biscuit bases.

T1: That is really, really good. Let’s remember how to make a cheesecake
