Тема: «The World’s best friends are we.»

Цель урока:

-дать учащимся представление об экологической обстановке в мире, стране, республике, районе, поселке. Научить школьников использовать английский язык как инструмент общения в диалоге культур современного мира.

Для достижения цели урока необходимо решить следующие задачи:

1. Образовательные.

- Создание условий для навыков проектной деятельности учащихся по английскому языку.

- совершенствование умений и навыков чтения и говорения;

-  обобщение единичных знаний в систему.

2. Развивающие.

- Ознакомление с проблемой  антропогенного загрязнения окружающей среды,

- с источниками загрязнения атмосферы, выявить главные пути решения проблем охраны окружающей среды.

- формирование познавательного интереса учащихся;

-  обеспечение общего кругозора и связи изучаемого с явлениями и процессами реального мира.

3. Воспитательные.

- Формирование  активной экологической позиции учащихся по охране окружающей среды.

-  Формирование и развитие экологических, экономических, эстетических качеств личности учащихся.

- формирование основных мировоззренческих идей;

-  развитие трепетного отношения к окружающему миру;

-развитие навыков группового взаимодействия.

Оборудование: компьютер,  диск СD-RW, интерактивная доска, учебник, РТ, распечатки с заданиями.

Ход урока:

         1. Организационный момент

         - We are going to speak about the Earth. What can we do to save the Earth? Today at the lesson you will learn to use different word expressions to talk about ecological problems.

            2. Фонетическая разминка

We will start with the words. First look at the blackboard. Try to read them in transcription.

-Read the words and expressions in ex.3, p. 40 and translate them into Russian.

           4. Answer my questions, please.

1. What must people protect the Earth from? (People must protect the Earth from pollution.)

            2. What kinds of pollution do you know? (There is water pollution, air pollution, the pollution of                                                                              the environment and there is also nuclear pollution.)

3. What and where do people usually waste? (People usually waste paper, chemicals, old things on the ground and into the water.)

4. What must we do to protect the environment? (We must stop polluting the ground, the air, the water.)

5. Активизация лексики в речи:

-Use these word expressions in the sentences of your own.

Примерный ответ:

People must protect environment. Air pollution is one of the ecological problems nowadays. Emergency workers have to wear protective clothing. There are a lot of environmental problems such as air pollution, water pollution, pollution of the environment, nuclear pollution. People pollute water by putting wastes there. Don’t waste paper in parks. Chemical waste is very dangerous.

-There are different types of environment. You may find them in ex. 7, p.42. Read what natural geographical features mean. Do you understand that? Classify the words according to the types of environment. So, read out the words connected with natural geographical features (living organisms, man-made geographical features).

Keys:

Natural geographical features: climate, weather, mountains, forests, lakes, seas, oceans, continents, minerals, air, water, natural channels, islands, land, other planets, the Moon.

Living organisms: fishes, plant species, human beings, trees, animals, insect species.

Man-made geographical features: towns, houses, canals, railways, farms, factories, wild parks, picture galleries.

• We all understand that nowadays the environmental problems become more and more serious. What must we do to protect the Earth? Before you answer watch the video.

6. Работа над диалогом.

As far as I see it the main idea of the text is that beauty will save the world. Life will be more interesting if we use different colors. I agree with it because we live in the world where there are a lot of problems, we get much stress. There must be something that will help us to overcome difficulties.

The main colors of our planet are blue, green, brown and white.

• I see that you`re tired. Let`s have a rest.
