Тема:          Newspapers   in  Great  Britain

Класс:       6

Цель урока:  Развитие навыков критического мышления учащихся на основе прочитанного текста.

Задачи урока:  1) Тренировка употребления лексики по теме “Mass Media”.

2. Совершенствование умений чтения и аудирования.
3. Формирование  навыков работы с информацией  иноязычного текста.

Ход урока:

Оргмомент.

Приветствие учащихся, решение организационных вопросов, введение в тему.

• Good morning! Sit down, please.
• Who is absent today?  What happened with Ann? Is she ill?
• What date is it today? What was your home task?
• So boys and girls, open your books at page 78, look at the picture and say what are we going to talk about?...................
• You are right. Today we are talking about the newspapers in Great Britain.
• Do you read any newspapers? What newspapers?

Now look at ex. 1 p. 78: listen and read the text and be ready to answer the question “ What do you think weekly newspapers are?”

(учащиеся  аудируют и читают текст, а затем отвечают на поставленный вопрос)

Pupils, look at the blackboard.   You can see some new words here.  Let’s read them  after me all together please.   (Отработка слов: чтение за учителем, самостоятельно)

Слова:  advertisement, article, comic strip,  editor, interview,  journalist, local, national,  newsagent’s, photographer, staff, deliver, print, weekly, design,  choose, correct, on sale.

Look at the picture  and the title of the text. Guess what it is about.

Now listen to the text and check your predictions.  (аудирование)

- Open your copybooks , write down the date  and let’s  make the cluster. (кластер складывается на доске)

What does the editor do? (He checks the articles and chooses the photographs)

What kind of things go in newspaper? (articles, comic strips,  advertisement, information)

What happens last?  (The newspaper is printed)

Tell me three more things that happen to the newspaper (It’s delivered to the newsagent’s, It’s on sale, It’ read)

Put your hands on your desks.  Put your heads on your hands. Close your eyes and imagine yourself at your favorite place. You are having a rest, you are reading. Think what would you like to read? A book,  a newspaper, a magazine?
