Тема: Спорт. Виды спорта.

Цель: ознакомить учеников с лексическими единицами темы, активизировать их употребление в речи, совершенствовать употребление в речи вопросительных и утвердительных грамматических структур Present Indefinite Tense, развивать логическое мышление.

Оборудование: стихотворение (разрезанное на части), медали в виде футбольных мячей, картинки новых лексических единиц, раздаточный материал, ноутбук.

ХОД УРОКА

I. Greeting.

Good morning, children! Good morning, dear guests! I am glad to see you.

     II. Aim and topic of the lesson.

Now you should solve the crossword to know the topic of the lesson.

1. Is it raining?
2. What season comes after winter?
3. Is it snowing?
4. What month is it now?
5. What season is it now?

By the end of the lesson you will be able to know new sport words, speak, read and write about sport.

The motto of our lesson is “Quicker! Higher! Stronger!” Write down the date. Divide into four teams. You should choose the names of your teams.

III. Working with the poem.

There are pieces of the poem on the blackboard. Pupils should make the poem.

Sport is fun for girls and boys,

It’s much better than the toys.

You can swim and play football!

Hockey, tennis, basketball.

You can jump and you can run,

You can have a lot of fun!

IV. Reviewing.

You asked me to write you about my favourite kind of sport.

Many pupils of our school go in for such kinds of sports as athletics, gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, boxing, football, basketball, skating and swimming. They train at our physical training lessons and at sports schools. Many of them are very good sportsmen.

As for me I do not take part in the competitions in running and jumping because I am not very strong in these kinds of sports. My favourite kind of sport is swimming. On Mondays and Fridays I go to the swimming-pool. I can swim very well and always take part in competitions in swimming.
