Урок английского языка в 10 классе

Цели урока:
- познавательный аспект: увеличение объёма знаний об особенностях
Ирландии;
-развивающий аспект: развитие самостоятельности, творческих
способностей, умения проводить
исследовательскую работу;
-воспитательный аспект: воспитание уважения к культуре других
народов, воспитание культуры общения в
коллективной деятельности.
-учебный аспект: развитие коммуникативных умений.
Задачи:
- учить извлекать из текста информацию и использовать полученные сведения в работе;
- учить обмениваться мнениями с партнёрами;
- учить обосновывать своё мнение, аргументировать, делать выводы.
Языковой материал:
-лексический и грамматический материал по программе;
Оснащение урока:
компьютер, проекты выполненные в программе Power Point .
Время работы на уроке: 40 минут.
Teacher: Good morning, dear children and guests. We are glad to see you at our lesson “Welcome to Ireland”. Every year a lot of people visit Ireland. It is fantastic! Look at the screen. (1.ppt ) Teacher: Today we are going to talk about Irish places of interest, history and legends. There are many different reasons for travelling to the Republic of Ireland. Try to name some of them. Teacher: You are right. But before planning travelling to Ireland we would like to get as much information as possible. Let’s listen to Nelli’s opinion about Ireland Project “Geography of Ireland”. ( 2.ppt. ) Teacher: People who plan to travel should decide what things to take. That’s why they should know about the weather conditions in different seasons. Listen to the information about the climate in Ireland. Project “Climate”. (3.ppt) Teacher: Many people from different countries come to live in Ireland. They speak different languages, but what languages are spoken in Ireland? Listen to Lena. Project “Languages”.
Teacher: Television, films, books have probably given you ideas about what Irish people are like. Listen to Ksenia. Project “Population”. Teacher: Let’s dream a little. We have a chance to visit Ireland as tourists. We go to Dublin by plane. We are on board now. Dialogue 1. Man: Excuse me, are you sure this is your seat? Woman: Yes, I am. Number 14 A. Man: But my boarding card has got that number. W.: Well, ask the air hostes about it. Dialogue 2. Stewardess: Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Fasten your seatbelts, please! The pilot is preparing to take off. Once we are in The air, we will be serving a light snack and something to drink. Thank you! Man: Excuse me. Could you please tell me what the film is today? St.: Yes, today’s film is “The Old Man and the Sea”. Man.: Oh, it’s great. Thank you. St.: You are welcome. Dialogue 3. Pilot: Ladies and gentlemen! This is the pilot speaking. I would like to welcome you aboard Irish Airways Flight 54, non – stop to Airport in Dublin. We are currently flying at an altitude of 11.000 metres. Our flight time today will be approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. We will arrive in Dublin at about 10 a.m. Enjoy the flight! Stewardess: Ladies and gentlemen! May I have your attention, please? The pilot has turned off the “Fasten Seatbelt” sign. But when you are in your seat, please, keep your seatbelts fastened at all times. Thank you. Dialogue 4. Man: Hi, my name is ... Have you ever been on aeroplane? Woman: Yes, I have. Several times. M.: What do passangers usually do during the flight? W.: They read, some of them sleep. Some passengers look out of the window, some listen to the music. Some of them watch TV. I prefer talking about travelling. M.: Let’s tell some funny stories to each other. W.: I don’t suppose I’m good at it, but let’s try to do it. Dialogue 5. Stewardess: Ladies and gentlemen. Fasten your seatbelts, please! The pilot is preparing for landing. When we are in the airport in Dublin the tourist group from Russia will be meet by a guide. Pilot: Ladies and gentlemen. This is the pilot speaking. We are about touch down in Dublin, at the international airport. It’s 10 a.m. The temperature outside is 14 degrees C. Thank you for flying Irish Airways. Bye! Dialogue 6. Guide: How do you do! Welcome to our country. Pleased to meet you, boys and girls. Let me introduce myself. My name is ... . I’m your guide. You may call me ... . I hope we’ll be friends. And what shall I call you? Student 1: How do you do! My name is ... . You may call me ... . Student 2: Hello! My name is ... . You may call me ... . Student 3: Hi! My name is ... . You may call me ... . Guide: I’m glad you have come. I hope you had a nice flight. Student 4: Oh, yes! We had a wonderful flight, thank you. Guide: Well, there is a bus waiting for you. Guide: We welcome you to. (4.ppt) Dublin is one of the nicest cities in the world. It celebrated its millenium anniversary in 1988. Dublin’s most famous sights are: St. Patricks Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Trinity College, the Bank of Ireland. You’ll see all these places and much more from our bus. A legend says that St.Patrick used the waters of the river Liffey to baptize the Dubliners of the 5th century. Student 1: I’ve heard that there are a lot of legends in Ireland, aren’t there? Student 2: You are right. ( Project “Legends”) ( 5.ppt ) Student 1: Thank you. Really it is very interesting country and it has a rich history. Student 3: I know some facts about the history of Ireland. ( Project “History of Ireland”) Student 1: Well, the history of Ireland is ful of unforgetable facts. But we are in Dublin. I think the capital of Ireland is rich in places of interest. Guide: You are right. You can see the famous St.Patrick’s Cathedral. (7.ppt ) It was founded in the 13th century. It is associated with the name of Jonathan Swift. Student 4: I’ve heard that Ireland is connected with the names of famous writers. Is it right? Student 5: It is true. ( Project “Literary Ireland” ) (6.ppt ) Student 4: Thank you. I didn’t suppose that Oscar Wilde was an Irish writer. Guide : Ireland is rich in well known writers and poets. But we’ll continue our trip. You can see Christ Church Cathedral. (8.ppt ) It dates back to the12th century. Student 6: Ive heard that the history of this church is connected with bloody events. Is it true? Student 7: I don’t think. But I know that ... . ( Project “Religion’) Guide: There are a lot of churches in Dublin but one of the famous is in the Castle of Dublin.( 10.ppt ) Parts of Castle date from the beginning of the 13th century. The Castle is now one of the main tourist sights of the city. The next famous place is Trinity College, was founded in 1591. It belongs to another epoch. (12.ppt ) Student 7: I’ve heard that it is well known and students from Great Britain study here. Is it right? Student 8: Well, I’ve read that ... . (Project “ Education in Ireland”) Guide: Trinity College is very popular University.The Government of Ireland thinks that the future of the country is in education. Student 9: I’ve known that ... . (Project “Government”) Guide: You can see the seat of our Parlament to the right. (13.ppt ) It is Leinster House. It is the building of the 18th century. Dublin is rich in gardens and parks. (14.ppt ) Phoenix Park is Dubliners’ favourite recreation spot. Guide: Now we stop here in front of the Dublin Hotel. Let’s get off the bus. They have already reserved our rooms. |
