Цель урока: заинтересовать учащихся в изучении английского языка.

Задачи урока: активизировать познавательную деятельность учащихся, повторить пройденный учебный материал в неформальной обстановке, ознакомить учащихся с простым прошедшим временем, обеспечить практическую направленность обучения.

Оборудование: КДУ, аудиозаписи.

Good morning! Today is….  Our topic is” Telling stories”. Today we shall have a very interesting lesson. We shall speak English, read texts, do exercises, play games and sing songs. And now let’s start our work.

1. Let’s remember some English sounds which are very important for us today. Listen to me and repeat after me.

2. As I know you like to play very much. Now it’s time to check up the words you have already learnt.    Let’s play the game «Translator”. I shall read the words in Russian and you will find them in your cards in English.

3.We like to play with a ball. Now Igor will throw you a ball and name the verb. You will throw the ball to him and refer this verb to the past.

4.  Now we know there are regular and irregular verbs in the English language. Open your books and read the story about Jane's dream (сон).  Put the verbs in the past. Употреби глаголы в скобках в Past Simple.

I (see) a wonderful dream. I (go) to a green-green garden. In the green-green garden I (see) a dark-dark house. In the dark-dark house there (live) a big-big lion. The big-big lion (have) yellow-yellow eyes. His yellow-yellow eyes (look) like bright-bright suns.I (open) my eyes and (see) a bright-bright sun in my window.

"Good morning, dear," (say) my mum. 

5. Look at my table, please. You can see a letter there. It is from Prostokvashino.  Now we shall read the letter from our friends. Be attentive and listen to their story. Then you must make up true sentences about them.

Hello, boys and girls! We live in the village. We like to watch TV, walk and play in the forest. Yesterday Sharik went fishing. We have a cow. It gives us milk. Matroskin likes his cow very much. We want you to visit us one day. But we must know what you like to do. What did you do yesterday?

Children , try to complete the sentences.

6. It’s time to ask and answer the questions. Listen to me and answer “Yes, I did or No, I didn’t”, use the Past Simple Tense.

Did you watch TV yesterday? –Yes, I did.

Did you help your mother yesterday? –Yes, I did.

Did you play football yesterday?-No, I didn’t.

Did you read a book yesterday? –No, I didn’t.

Did you go to school yesterday? –Yes, I did.

Did you swim in the river yesterday? –No, I didn’t.

Did you sing songs yesterday? –Yes, I did.

7. The next task for you is to put the words in a logical order. You have two minutes to do the task.

10. It’s time to check up your home task. Your home task was to learn the song , poems.- It's time to remember our song, poems and stories.

I have a pet. It is a cat. His name is Barsik. He is black and white. I think Barsik is the cleverest cat in the world. He is the most beautiful animal I know. My cat always watches TV and goes for a walk with me. He eats meat, fish and potato. Barsik likes to drink milk. He can climb and jump very well. My cat is my best friend.

I have a pet. It is a dog. His name is Rex. He is black and brown. 1 think Rex is the cleverest dog in the world. He is the most beautiful animal I know. My Dog always plays and goes for a walk with me. He eats meat and bread. Rex likes to drink milk and water. He can run and jump very well. My dog always helps me. He is my best friend.

11. It's time to read the story “A wolf and a sheep”. Look at the task of exercise 22, page 49. What is the title of the story? You will read this story to yourself at first and answer the question in the task.

A WOLF AND A SHEEP

A Wolf saw a Sheep by a small river and wanted to eat him. He shouted (закричал): "I can't drink this dirty water! It is dirty! You have made (сделал) the water dirty. You put your dirty feet into the water!"

"No, I didn't make it dirty," the Sheep answered. "I didn't put my feet into the water. I drink with my mouth (pom) and not with my feet. Look! My feet are not in the water."                         

"OK. Then it was last year. You put your feet into the water last year!" the Wolf shouted. "And you made the water dirty."

"But I am only four months old," the Sheep said. "How could I put my feet into the river a year ago?"

"If it was not you, it was your brother or your father," the Wolf shouted and jumped on the poor (бедный) Sheep.

They help their Granny.

13. Совершенствование навыков орфографии

- Let's remember the adjectives we have learnt this month. You can see the parts of words on the blackboard. Can you match them and write the words in your copybooks?
