Открытый урок 5 класс УМК Биболетовой М.З.
Тема: Школа. Школьные предметы.
Цель: закрепление и обобщение изученного материала по теме «Школа». Совершенствование навыков лексики и грамматики, фонетики, говорения, аудирования, чтения по заданной теме.
Задачи:
Обучающие: развитие навыков чтения, диалогического и монологического высказывания о школе, школьных предметах, о школьных правилах, закрепление лексики и грамматики в устной речи;
Развивающие: развивать быстроту мышления, коммуникативные умения и способности осуществлять продуктивные речевые действия, способность к догадке, внимание, память, воображение, умение сравнивать.
Познавательные: знакомство со школами Англии и предметами, которые изучают школьники в Английских школах.
Воспитательные: повысить интерес учащихся к изучению английского языка, воспитание положительного отношения к школе, желания учиться, гордиться своей школой, воспитание общения и культуры поведения.
Тип урока: обобщающий
Оборудование: магнитофон, мультимедийный проектор, smart-доска, картинки по теме «Школа».

Schools in England are not the same as in our country. Children begin to go to school when they are five years old. From five to seven they are in infant schools. An infant school is like a kindergarten. The children draw and paint, they sing and listen to stories which the teacher reads to them. They also play games. In these schools they begin to learn, to read and to write.
From seven to eleven children in England go to a junior school. Here they all learn to read and do mathematics.
From eleven to sixteen boys and girls in England go to a secondary school. They begin to learn in form one. The sixth form is the last form in this school. They have many subjects in their time-table: English, mathematics, science, geography, history, art, music, drama, physical education and foreign languages. The lesson lasts 40 or 45 minutes.
In England many children learn French or Latin at school. Some children learn German, Latin, Russian, Spanish, Italian. Usually French is the first foreign language they learn at school.
British students wear a school uniform. The favorite colours for school uniform are blue, grey, black and green.
Students have holidays three times a year. They have Christmas holidays, Easter holidays and Summer holidays. School also have special hall-term holidays in the middle of each term. In summer their lessons are over in the middle of July.
Some schools in Great Britain are only for boys or for girls. As a rule, they have classes 5 days a week. In England schoolchildren do not go to schools on Saturdays and Sundays.
There are private schools, where parents pay for the education of their children.
When children leave school at the age of 16 they get a report. English students get marks too: “A+” – Excellent, “A” – Very good, “B” – good, “C”- Satisfactory, “D” - Fair, “E”- Unsatisfactory. Most school start classes at 9 a.m. and finish at 3-4 p.m.
