Мета:  Повторити  ЛО теми.

Формувати навички говоріння.

Удосконалювати навички письма та аудіювання.

Повторити вживання зворотів there is\are та прийменників місця.

Розвивати пізнавальний інтерес, пам′ять, увагу, чуття мови, творчі здібності учнів.

Сприяти розвиткові самостійного мислення.

Виховувати позитивне ставлення до англійської мови.

Виховувати повагу до співрозмовника.

Обладнання: Підручник, граматичні таблиці, малюнки меблів, аркуші паперу, картки зі словами, картки для фізкультхвилинки.

Jazz Chant “Hi! How are you?”

        The topic of our lesson is “My house”. Today we’re going to revise the words on topic “House”, we’ll listen to the text and try to represent it in a picture, we’ll revise the usage of the structures THERE IS/ARE and the prepositions of place. And by the end of the lesson we’ll make up the project “My house”.

Pre-listening.

  1. Look at the board! You see a house. But what has happened to it? Everything here is mixed. Who can help me to guess the words which are hidden here. (Учні читають правильно слова).

Curtain, cushion, armchair, fireplace, mirror, wardrobe, pillow, painting, cooker, fridge, bath, sink, towel.

  1. Let’s repeat the prepositions of place. A game “Put the ball…” (Учні кладуть м’яч туди, де скаже вчитель).
  • Put the ball under the box.
  • Put the ball in the box.
  • Put the ball next to the box.
  • Put the ball behind the box.
  • Put the ball on the box.
  • Put the ball near the box.
  • Put the ball in front of the box.
  1. Correct the mistakes in the sentences. Revise the construction there is\are.

There is cushions on the sofa.

There are a computer under the desk.

There is vases on the table.

There is a chest of drawers near the bookcase.

There are a TV in front of the cupboard.

While-listening. 

Let’s work in groups. You’ll listen to the text “Mary’s house”. Try to remember the description of each room and represent it as a picture. Choose which room your group will draw. (Учні слухають текст)

MARY’S HOUSE.

        I want to tell you about my house. My house is not big. There are 4 rooms in it: a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen.

        My living room is the biggest. There is a sofa with cushions in my living room. The armchair is near the sofa. There is a table in my living room. There is a vase with flowers on the table. The mirror is above the table. There is a fireplace in the living room. The coffee table with small TV is next to the fireplace. There are curtains on the window.

        Our bedroom is smaller than the living room. There is a bed with white pillow in the bedroom. A desk with a modern computer is next to the bed. There is a bookcase near the wall. The wardrobe is in front of the bookcase. There is a painting on the wall above the bed.

        The kitchen is not so big as the living room. There is a cooker in the kitchen. The sink with a tap is next to the cooker. There is a table in the kitchen. There are 6 chairs around the table. The cupboard is in the corner of the kitchen.

        The bathroom is the smallest. There is a bath in the bathroom. The sink with a tap is near the bath. There are towels on the wall. There is a chest of drawers in the bathroom.

        My mum bought new carpets for our house: green carpet is for the living room, pink is for the bedroom, blue carpet is for the kitchen and yellow one is for the bathroom.

        I like my house very much.
