Цели и задачи урока:

     Обучающие-

1. Обучить чтению с целью общего понимания содержания

2. Научить применять полученные знания на практике закрепление

3. Вести беседу в соответствии с учебной ситуацией по заданной теме в рамках подготовки к ЕГЭ

4. Воспитывать умение слушать повышение  познавательного  интереса к иностранному языку

My dear friends! Today we’ll have a talk about our health. Look at the screen. (слайд 1)

 The theme of our lesson is “Facts about Health”. There are many facts our health depend on. (слайд 2) Today we’ll revise the proverbs about health, words and word combinations about health, answer the questions, read and translate, listen to the information about smoking ban in France, fill in the table ,make up some dialogues, agree or disagree with the statements, revise grammar, and we have enough time we’ll watch the projects of your classmates.

First let’s start with the sounds and proverbs about health. Repeat after me, please. Read in pairs.

     Well done. Thank you. Our health depends on the way of our life. Look at the screen. Here you can see some factors which have influence on our health. Let’s revise them. (слайд4)

     Now I want you to match the words from the first column and the second one to make up the word combinations. (слайд 5)

     Thank you. You’ve done very well. Now it’s time to check up your home task. People say that you are what you eat. Nowadays there is a variety of different products you can eat. Russian cuisine is special and very popular. Your homework was to answer the question on what occasions Russians eat these foods. (слайд 6)Open your books at page 120 ex.2.Answer this question, please.

On what occasions do Russians eat these foods?

Pelmeni, borsch, kulebyaka, rasstegai, karavai, kulich, paskha, blinies

     The Key:

Pelmeni and borsch are everyday food. Kulebyaka and rasstegai can be eaten not on special occasions. Karavai is bread which is made when you meet guests. Kulich and paskha are eaten on Ester Sunday. Bliny is a traditional dish at Russian holiday “ Maslenitsa”

     Let’s continue our talking about food. I want you to read and translate some texts about healthy products. Let’s read and translate them.(приложение 2)

     Now I want you to do the task on these texts. Look through the texts one more time and find the appropriate headline to them. One headline is odd.(Слайд 7) Fill in the table with your answers. Please, give out the cards and the tables. I give you 2 minutes. Don’t forget to sign your cards.

    As far as I see you take care of yourselves but sometimes you have to visit the doctors. Let’s  make up the dialogue “Visiting a Doctor”.(Слайд 9)

     While preparing the dialogue remember to be active and polite, get the needed information by asking questions, talk for 1.5-2 minutes. You may use a dialogue scheme. (слайд 10).Work in pairs.Учащиеся в парах (или втроем, если не хватает пары) готовят диалоги по опорам.

     Well, thank you. You’ve acted very well. It is not a secret that many people visit the doctors because of their bad habits. Different people have different ways of life, different people have different habits. Many of them think that bad habits don’t belong to only one person. Do you agree with my statement? Let’s listen to what measures are taken against smoking in France.  Before listening to this information I want you to read and understand some word combinations from the text. (Слайд 11)

    You will listen to the text twice. Be attentive. After listening to the information you will do the task on it.

     Well, now listen, please. (слайд 12)

     Now let’s do the task according to this information. Circle the letters true, false or not stated. Then you’ll check up each other’s variants. Be attentive!

Учащиеся слушают текст два раза. Им предлагаются карточки с предложениями из прослушанного и три варианта А. верно В.неверно С. Не упоминается. Задача детей определить какой из вариантов верный  и обвести в кружок необходимую букву. Далее идет взаимопроверка.

     3.4 Актуализация навыков монологической речи.

     Well, you’ve done perfectly.  Among all the facts about health you can meet many myths. I want to check how well you know facts and myths about health. Agree or disagree with my statements. (слайд 14)

1.  Smoking is one of the dangerous bad habits.  

2.  It is not important for the person to follow a balanced diet.    

3.  Pneumonia[nju:`məuniə] is a disease of little children.  

4. Vitamin D is good for your bones.

5.  Onion is good for your nerves.

        6.  Carrots are good for your eyesight

7. Calcium[`kælsiəm] is an example of minerals.  

8.  Physical inactivity is useful for teenagers' health.  

9.  Dieting has its advantages and disadvantages.

Приложение 2.

1. Fish helps you to reach your full height potential. It makes your bones strong and healthy. Develops your muscles properly and keeps your teeth strong and healthy. Fish keeps you at the right weight for your height and helps to keep your skin healthy.

      2.  When you eat a healthy diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, and fruits, you usually get most of the fiber you'll need, which means you'll also be lowering your risk of diabetes, heart disease. Most adult women should shoot for over 20 grams of fiber a day; men should shoot for over 30 grams. Great sources are whole fruits and vegetables, whole grain breads and breakfast cereals, and all manner of beans.

     3.If one eats an apple before dinner, he can feel satisfaction and prevents overeating. An apple contains a lot of vegetable fibers that influence to the health positively. Kalium prevents from high blood pressure. Apple contains polyphenol, which reduces allergy and makes skin paler. An apple contains a lot of useful ingredients that can make your skin beautiful.

     4.It is said that meat is not good for people's health. It is known that we get meat from dead animals and birds. A vegetarian is someone  who avoids eating the flesh of animals (meat, poultry, or fish, including shellfish). But meat is useful for sick people and for little children and teenagers.

     5.People need different products because different products are rich in different vitamins and minerals. Fish is good for your bones. Fruit and vegetables are useful for your skin. Dairy products are necessary for your health.

     6.When choosing protein-rich foods, pay attention to what comes along with the protein. Vegetable sources of protein, such as beans, nuts, and whole grains, are excellent choices, and they offer healthy fiber, vitamins and minerals. The best animal protein choices are fish and poultry. If you are partial to red meat, stick with the leanest cuts, choose moderate portion sizes, and make it only an occasional part of your diet.

        7.Your body needs more protein, vitamins and minerals and it definitely needs more calories from the right foods. What you put into your body now can make a huge difference to your health both now and in the future. Eating the right foods is one of the things you can do to help you have more energy; stronger, healthier muscles; healthy skin, hair and nails and to look and feel your best.

France has joined several other European countries in imposing a ban on smoking in bars,

cafes and restaurants. The ban came into effect at midnight on New Year's Eve. Most

people appear to have accepted the prohibition as inevitable, though there's strong

resistance in rural France. Hugh Schofield reports.

Here in the Point du Jour bar in the town of Cosne sur Loire in Burgundy the tobacco ban

has, shall we say, not quite yet come into effect. There's a group of four or five men

beside me here at the counter and they're all busy puffing away. Have no fear though, this

does not mean that the ban is without teeth. The fact is that the government has given a

twenty-four hour reprieve for people to bring in the New Year. And from tomorrow,

everyone here concedes they will be respecting the law. If they want a ‘cloppe’ or a fag,

it'll be outside on the pavement or in their cars.

It's in places like this deep in the heart of the French countryside that resistance to the

smoking ban has been at its strongest. People see it here as an affront to personal liberty

and as a threat to a traditional way of life centred on the village café. But the fines are

large, the government says it means business.

And so from tomorrow here at the Point du Jour bar as across the rest of France, the

morning coffee and cigarette will be a thing of the past.
