Открытый урок-соревнование по английскому языку, итоговый.

Тема: "Музыка", 9 класс

Задачи

Воспитательные: укрепление интереса к предмету, воспитание уважительного отношения к зарубежной культуре, более глубокое осознание своей родной культуры, повышение уровня самооценки учащихся.

Развивающие: организация учебного процесса как речемыслительного поиска, в котором идет развитие творческой деятельности, памяти, догадки, воображения, способности логически излагать, работать в группах и самостоятельно.

Образовательные: систематизация, обобщение и закрепление пройденного материала, тренировка в аудировании, говорении (диалогическая и монологическая речь), расширение словарного запаса, совершенствование техники чтения и умения пользоваться дополнительной литературой (при подготовке проекта), практика в оформлении мини-проекта с использованием компьютерных технологий.

Оборудование

Музыкальная карта Британии (сканирована из учебника, увеличена, отпечатана на unci ним принтере), видеоклип с записью песни "Yesterday" группы "The Beatles" и гимна Британии, аудиозаписи к учебнику с отрывками из произведений Бетховена, Чайковского, текстом о Дмитрии Хворостовском. гимн России, компакт-диск с классической музыкой (приложение к энциклопедии "Аванта", том 7, часть 3), самодельный плакат с изображением музыкальных инструментов, том 7 (часть 3, "Искусство") энциклопедии "Аванта", магнитофон, телевизор,  видеомагнитофон  2 чистых листа ватмана,  клей, фломастеры, скотч, картинки для проектов,  портреты Моцарта, Баха, Хворостовского,  компьютеры, компакт-диск по английскому языку "Профессор Хиггинс”.

На CD звучит музыка Шопена "Ноктюрн №2" (фрагмент), звук микшируется.
Вступительное слово учителя:

Good morning, children! You've just heard beautiful music by Chopin, so we are al good moods, I hope. Now let's begin our lesson - a competition of two teams: "Fans" and "Lovers of music" We are going to speak about musk mid musicians.

In Britain there are strong local traditions of music that are still alive centuries later. We have a musical map of Britain here. Go to the blackboard and show musical centers of Great Britain.

На доске выставляются портреты Баха и Моцарта. 'Гак как учащиеся уже слушали Баха на предыдущих уроках и знают, что он писал органную музыку, то, рассуждая логически, должны догадаться, чья музыка прозвучала.

Now - the highlight of our competition - your projects:
working - 10 minutes;

presentation - 2 minutes (for each team); putting marks - I minute.

Каждая группа учащихся берет лист ватмана, ножницы, клей, фломастеры и домашние заготовки для проекта - рисунки, фотографии, составленные заметки, цветные буквы для заголовков и т.п. Затем оформляют все это в быстром темпе на бумаге. Каждая группа делает презентацию своего проекта, стараясь удивить зрителей какой-то изюминкой.

Так, первая команда в своем проекте представила информацию о любимой певице, ребята включили аудиозапись одной из ее песен, и под эту мелодию две девочки исполнили отрывок молодежного танца.

Члены другой команды рассказали о различных композиторах и представили вниманию зрителей мелодию своего собственного сочинения, исполненную на компьютере.

После презентации ученики оценили работы: и свою собственную, и соперников.

Итоги урока

Учитель озвучивает окончательные результаты соревнования по итоговой таблице, при этом видно, сколько баллов принес каждый ученик своей команде, и общая сумма баллов.

Урок-праздник на тему "Halloween. It's traditions and customs"

Цель: ознакомление учащихся с обычаями н традициями празднования праздника Halloween в англоязычных странах (на примере США) Урок предназначен для учащихся 6-ых классов, но при определенной корректировке может быть использован и для более старших учащихся. Задачи:

•        воспитательная: воспитывать у учащихся чувство уважения к истории и культуре страны
изучаемого языка, а через это и к своей родной национальной культуре.

практическая: провести практику речевой деятельности и аудирования, активизировать лексику на тему: "Halloween'', дать знания страноведческого характера, познакомить с фольклорным и поэтическим наследием англоязычных стран.

развивающая: развитие творческой фантазии и инициативы и осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности, а также развития познавательных интересов учащихся.

Оборудование:

♦        плакаты, поделки и рисунки, выполненные руками учеников и демонстрирующие главную идею
праздника;

•        карточки с новыми лексическими единицами и текстом по данной тсме

•        магнитофон с аудиозаписью песенки.

Warming up:

Teacher: Hello guys! Please take your seats. How are you? Pupils: We're fine, thanks. And you?

Teacher: I am fine too. Thank you. Let's start our lesson.

General part:

Teacher: You know, the autumn is not only a harvest rime but it is time for many holidays in different

countries. For example, in Russia from ancient times people have been celebrating (щедрый) harvest and lots of

weddings in autumn Of course, you can call the autumn holidays of modem Russia. What are they?

Pupils: ll is the 7th of November.

Teacher: But today we'll speak about one famous and curious holiday in English-speaking countries

Hallowecn. It is celebrated on 31 * of October. You will learn some interesting facts and have a lot of fun. And

Now  we're starting with a riddle. Will you, Sasha?

Pupil 1:

A face so round  and eyes so bright.

A scary mouth with a jolly grin. No arms, no legs -just head to chin! (Jack-o'-lantern)

Teacher: Did you guess? Thai's right. It's the pumpkin. But it is a special pumpkin. What is its name'.' (you may use the pictures with notes from a blackboard)

Pupils: It's the jack-o'-lantern.

Teacher: Well. But there are some others symbols of such a holiday. This special  Hallowecn tree will help you.

Use the words on the blackboard. Please look through these objects and call me Halloween's symbols. (The teacher is demonstrating a hand-made -tree": a brunch in the coffee can filled with sand. The brunch is decorated with paper toys - Halloween's characters.)

Pupils: The witch - is a symbol of Halloween. The black cat is the symbol of Halloween too The skeletons are

the symbols of Halloween. The gliosis and goblins are Halloween's symbols loo.

Teacher: But you didn't mention some others. Be attentive. What can you sec there also.'

Pupils: Well. We can see a bat and a spider there. They are the Halloween's symbols.

Teacher: But what is this little creature's name? He wears in green. He has a pot of gold in his hands. He can

point you a treasure but. perhaps, deceive you. Who's he?

Pupils: A leprechaun.

Teacher: Right you are. But what is this ugly creature?

Pupils: It's a goblin.

Teacher: Yes. There are a lot of funny poems or curious omens about Uiese symbols. And some of them will be recite by your classmates.

Pupil 1:

A funny pumpkin

I made a funny pumpkin

Tie your masks on tight

It looked so big and terrible

It even frightened me!

Pupil 2:

"It's Halloween night"

Put on your costume

For everyone to see.

Grab your bags for trick-or-treating

Cause it's Halloween night!

Pupil 3:

"Goblins"

Red goblins, yellow goblins,

Blue and green.

These arc the funniest

I have ever seen.

Pupil 4:

If a cat sat next to you on Halloween - you would have a good luck.

Pupil 5: If a black cat sat on your laps - you would have a fantastic luck!

Teacher: Well done, guys. Now, let's sum everything up and answer my question: What do children do this

holiday?

Pupils: They make jack-o'-lanterns. They put ou costumes of different monsters and go around the streets

asking for sweets.

Pupil 1: They ring doorbells and say: "Trick or treat?" asking for candies, apples or coins. If they do not

receive a treat, they may play a trick: smear windows and parked cars with shaving cream or soap: slap at a

sidewalk or front door with socks filled with flour.

Teacher: And also, many children like to sing special Halloween song. Do you remember one of them? 1 mean

"the Pumpkin in the patch." We'll sing this song together and several pupils can go lo the blackboard with Ihe

paper hand-made toys and act out it

Hi -ho on Halloween, the pumpkin in the patch.

Teacher: Good of you! Thanks a lot. And do you wani to play any special Halloween games?

Here is the simpliest one. It iscalled "Hide a ghost"

A game: "Hide a ghost"

Divide pupils into 2 groups. One group -is the "hiders", other - the "seekers'*.

"Seekers" should go out of classroom and "hiders" will hide a toy ghost (you may take it from the Halloween tree). After that "hiders" clap their hands louder and louder if "seekers" will be near that ghost. Of course children may change with their roles.

Teacher: Did you enjoy the game? But traditionally this day many children do a lot of souvenirs - hand -made

toys which are devoted lo the Halloween. Here you can see the Pumpkin finger puppets. I suggest you to make them in memory of this Halloween.

You need Pumpkin finger puppets;

Materials yon will need:

Orange construction paper or felt, yellow and green construction paper scraps, scissors and glue.

What to do:

Cut an orange, round pumpkin 1" to 2" high.

Cut then glue on a green stem and yellow eyes, nose and mouth.

On the back, glue a 1|4" strip on the ends, leaving enough room for a finger to fit under it Rounding - off

Практиковать учащихся в аудировании.

Проконтролировать уровень развития речевых умений.

Учебные пособия: рисунки детей на тему "Защита окружающей среды" в виде выставки.

Ход урока:

Teacher: Lets today we discuss environment problems. What are these problems?

Pupils: Называют проблемы окружающей среды.

The first problem is pollution nature, air, water, land. Land, air, water are important for plants, animals, birds, fish and people.

It is rubbish problem. Every day we take rubbish out.

It is killing forests and animals.

It is the nuclear power and the greenhouse effect.

Тeacher: It's easy for us to see what we are doing to the air we breathe, water we drink, garbage we throw out! What about the habitat we don't see? E.g. rainforests, deserts, grasslands, oceans, etc.?

Pupil: Human have been living on our planet for two million years, and in the last two hundred years humans have mode a mess of the planet: chopped trees, killed animals, polluted air, land, water-Pupil: It is difficult to understand, but every thing on the planet is interconnected and when something goes wrong in some part of the world.

Pupil: The Earth has been getting hotter because we are producing too many greenhouse gases. Trees and plants help to take these gases from the atmosphere, but we have destroyed too many tгееs now.

Pupil: In our region we haven't big plans and factories, air is polluted by cars and water and land are polluled by chemical manure.

Teacher: What advice do you give of how to help nature?

Pupil: I think there are a lot of ways can help to save the Earth. One way is recycle Utter. Pupil: I am very worried that trees are cut down, because if there are no trees our health is damaged. Forests must are protected.

Pupil: I want to be the kid who saves the Earth! Last summer I and my friends made a pond to help frogs. Pupil: I've even asked my dad to help me make a protecting area for birds and other wild animals. Pupil: I think we must plant trees and make it homes for birds and small animals Pupil: We are told to leave wild flowers for others to enjoy. It is important. It helps to protect wildlife. Pupil: We must don't throw away things which you can reuse. Teacher: There arc a lot of environmental groups. What are these group's concerns?

Pupil: I know these groups. There are: Greenpeace, Friends of die Earth and others. Pupil: They taking care of the Earth.

Pupil: They are protecting wildlife, plants and trees.

Teacher: Well. Before il is too late, people have to change their way of life We have to stop raining the land, sea and air. We can help clean up the planet!

Следующий этап работы - привлечение внимания учащихся к проблемам, связанным с бытовыми электроприборами. На доске предлагается список бытовых электроприборов и образцы диалогов, затем школьники составляют диалоги самостоятельно.

Список бытовых электроприборов:

Refrigerator, iron, cassette recorder, record player, hair dryer, desk lamp.

Образцы диалогов:

-You've left lights on, dear! -Who cares? -I do!

-If s wasting energy! At school.

-I'm taught it's expensive--Oh. I'm sorry! I'll never do it again. -1 hope so.

Dad. you've left the iron on.

So what?

My teacher tells me to save energy. -Oh, my son, live and learn!
