План урока по теме “Здоровый образ жизни”.

Цель: Осознание значения образа жизни для сохранения здоровья.

Задачи: Образовательные: 

  • Развивать  навыки разговорной речи по теме “Здоровый образ жизни”, используя приемы технологии критического мышления.
  • Развивать  навыки учащихся в  АУДИРОВАНИИ  с извлечением конкретной информации и с детальным пониманием прочитанного

       Развивающие

  • формировать умение выделять главное;
  • стимулировать развитие способностей и потребностей в лично активной творческой деятельности;
  • развивать целостность и осмысленность восприятия;
  • развивать личностную активность (высказывать свою точку зрения ), работая в группе;

Воспитательные:

  • повышать мотивацию учащихся к здоровому образу жизни.

Тип урока: приемы технологии критического мышления  при обучении аудированию и говорению.

Форма урока: круглый стол

Оборудование урока: 

  • карточки для определения понятий;
  • чистые листы, цветные карандаши, фломастеры;
  • постер о здоровом образе жизни.
  • СД, кассета

План учебного занятия: 

  • организационный этап;
  • этап актуализации знаний;
  • этап применения изученного ( обобщение и систематизация);
  • этап информирования учащихся о домашнем задании;
  • рефлексия;
  • подведение итогов урока, оценка деятельности учащихся на уроке.

 Ход урока:

   Good morning boys and girls. I’m very glad to see you. You may sit down. Today we’ll have an unusual lesson so called ” round table” , where we are going to discuss an interesting  question of our life. Look at the blackboard and try to translate the sentences.( P1)

What do you think is the main topic of our lesson?(P2)It is not a secret that the first wealth is health. The Romans spoke of health in a proverb: “A healthy mind in a healthy body.”

Today we are going to speak about a healthy lifestyle . You can not buy health, but you can keep it, if you begin to take care of it early enough. The topic of our discussion comes from the phrase “to be fit”, which is very modern today. And what are your ideas of keeping fit? What do you think about it? 

1. Brainstorm activity. Teacher: You will work in groups. Let’s try to remember the necessary words and expressions which are associated with the word “to be fit” Make your posters with word web. Учащиеся должны предложить как можно больше слов, чтобы заполнить word webпо памяти, затем каждая группа представляет свой плакат. Let’s fill in the Word-Web.

I would like you to pay your attention that health is not something that comes to you by accident. Our health depends on many things: the food we eat, our good or bad habits, our physical activity.

The English people in the 1990’s have become very concerned about their health. In fact, fitness has become almost a national obsession. In large cities and small towns alike, people jog regularly, join sports teams and go to health clubs and Fitness Centers to work out.

In addition to physical health, an understanding of mental health is also important. The body does a great deal to take care of itself, but by learning a few important health rules, it is possible to help the body to work at its best.

Regular meals are a must if you want to keep fit. Try to avoid going without any food for hours. If we eat too much sweets, cakes high fat food, constantly snack, do not get enough vitamins and minerals we shall become obese, and obesity leads to serious diseases. A lot of people like drinking Coca– Cola and coffee and enjoy pizzas and hamburges. But what is tasty is not always healthy. Fast food makes you fat and unhealthy, that is why the Americans are the fattest people in the world.

Snacks are very popular in Britain, and many people often eat snacks between meals. Schools may also sell snacks, such as crisps, chocolate, sweets and biscuits. Obesity brings people a lot of harm. Being overweight is a widespread diseases, . absence of bad habits help us to be healthy.

Many recommendations are given to help people to control their weight.

Let's listen to the tape , There is another  way of dieting. Open your books, page 108, ex. 1 .Listen to3 friends are talking-Jessica, Catherine, Jordan. In the dialog you can find new words:”World of fitness-the name of the gym, 5 point plan, enjoyment group. (кассета и задания к ней)Do you agree with such diet? The questions for discussion:

What methods of losing weight are used by your friends and relatives?

Would you say that you have a healthy diet?

What could you do to improve your diet?

Children, have you ever heard about food pyramid? Let’s watch the short video film about it.

P: In order to stay healthy it is important to have a balanced diet – in other words food must contain three main groups. These groups are protein, fat and carbohydrates. You can find protein in lots of food, for example meat, fish, nuts, cheese, and milk. It helps your body to grow and be healthy and it gives you energy. Fat gives you energy but do not eat it a lot – it is bad for you. There a lot of fatty foods that come from animals, for example milk, cheese, butter and meat. Carbohydrates give you more than 70% of your energy.

P; Bread, pasta, cereals, fruit, vegetables such as potatoes and cabbage all contain many carbohydrates.

P: Fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, brown bread all have fibre. It does not give you energy but it fills you stomach when you are hungry. There many different vitamins and minerals. They help your body to be healthy. You can get all your vitamins and minerals from fresh fruit and vegetables.

P:. It is very important to get enough vitamins from your food.

P: Milk is good for your bones because it is rich in vitamins A and D, and minerals–  such as calcium. We must often drink milk. Milk is reputed to strengthen your bones, nails, hair and tooth. Eating whole meal bread is said to be useful. Fresh fruit and vegetables have much fibre. It is known to be the main source of energy because it is rich in minerals and vitamins. Carrots are said to prevent the development of cancer. Garlic is tend to prevent heart disease. Onion is suppoused to be good for your nerves. Apricot is good for your skin. Cranberry helps soothe your tired eyes.
These facts are taken from newspapers and magazines.

1. What are the five basic types of food a person should eat?
Answer: Meat, dairy, fruits, vegetables, bread, cereal, fats, sugar.

2. What foods contain carbohydrates?
Answer: Fruits, bread, cereals, rice, potatoes, peas, beans, sugar.

3. What does dairy build in our body?
Answer: Dairy builds strong teeth and bones by providing calcium.

4. Why are fruits and vegetables important for our health?
Answer: Fruits and vegetables help us have healthy gums, good eyesight by providing Vitamins A and C.

5. What do you usually eat for breakfast? What groups are the foods from? What do people in your country usually eat for breakfast?
Answer: I have... /I always have cereal for breakfast.

6. What do you usually have for dinner? What groups are the foods from? What do people in your country usually eat for dinner?

7. What do you usually eat for supper? What groups are the foods from? What do people in your country usually eat for supper?

8. What snacks are healthy for you to eat?

9. What is junk food? Give some examples.
Answer: I always/ never eat...

10. Is it healthy to skip meals?
Answer: No. It may affect your energy level and you might be weak, nervous (jumpy) or irritable (in a bad mood).

11. Why are fresh fruits and vegetables better for you than canned fruits and vegetables?
Answer: Fresh fruits and vegetables have more vitamins
