«St. VALENTINE`S DAY»

Задачи:

1. Развивать навыки ознакомительного аудирования

1. Формировать навыки коммуникативного общения и работы в коллективе

1. Развитие у детей концентрации внимания, так как дух соревнования заставляет тренировать себя, быть более собранным

1. Воспитание требовательности к себе, ответственного отношения к учебной деятельности

Ход мероприятия:

1. The history of holiday

 Ведущий 1: 
Dear students, dear guests, it is lovely to meet you here at St. Valentine’s games. Good  afternoon! First of all, I want to ask you - Do you like holidays?  What holidays do you know? What kind of holiday we celebrate in February? On the 14th of February people celebrate a beautiful holiday, which is loved by adults and children. It is St. Valentine day.

Ведущий 2:

Good morning students. Today we have the St Valentine`s day. It`s a great day of whole lovers. What do you know about this day? (ученики называют те факты, которые известны им). And what do you know about the origin of this holiday? (а знаете ли вы историю появления этого праздника?) (слайд 2)

В третьем веке Н. Э. римский император Клавдий второй издал указ , запрещающий людям жениться. Он считал, что брак удерживает мужчину дома, а их предназначение быть хорошими солдатами и отважно сражаться за Рим. Молодой христианский священник Валентин не внял указу и тайно венчал влюбленных. Узнав об этом, император повелел заключить нарушителя в тюрьму и потом казнить. В тюрьме Валентин , лишенный священных книг, разнообразил свой вынужденный досуг тем, что писал записки дочери тюремщика. Молодые люди полюбили друг друга. Пред казнью 14 февраля 270 года он послал девушке прощальную записку с краткой фразой «от Валентина», которая впоследствии стала означать вечную привязанность и верность. А дата смерти священника навеки осталась в памяти людей.

2. The symbols of St. Valentine’s Day

(слайд 3)

Ведущий 1:

There are many symbols of St. Valentine’s Day. What are they? Do you know? На слайде слова и картинки (an arrow and a heart, sweets and candies,  a cupid, roses, lace, a dove).

Ведущий 2: And this is the main symbol of the Valentine’s Day. What is it? It is a heart, right you are. Now you must answer – how many hearts are there? Count please. If your team is ready, raise your hands. (слайд 6)

Ведущий 1: 

Sometimes we can't just talk about love, we must show it! So, try to pantomime these words to another team so that they can name them. (Команды получают сердечки со следующими словами, которые они должны пантомимой показать другой команде) – a heart, a rose, a cupid, a dove

Ведущий 2:

So, you know all the symbols of our holiday. And now we’ll see how attentive you are. Each team gets the task. You are to find all the words in the crossword. You have 3 minutes. The team, which finds more words is a winner. (слайд 7)

3. Pairs.

Ведущий 1:

 Of course, the St Valentine`s day is the day of pairs, of lovers. Our exercise is about pairs. You must collect right pairs (ex. Romeo and Juliette)

Карточки с каждым именем отдельно даются каждой команде по одному экземпляру. (слайд 8)

Of course, St. Valentine’s Day is the day of friends. Do you have friends? Do you have friend in class? Now the next task: You should tell each other compliments.  (Обмениваются комплиментами). (слайд 9)

Ведущий 1:

Captains of both teams go to the board. I bind your eyes with the help of scarves. There are 6 persons in front of you. 3 of them from your team, the another 3 from the strange team. You should find those people, who are from your team, touching their hands.

5. Balloons:

Ведущий 2:

Now look at the board. You see 6 big balloons. Every balloon has a heart. Every heart has a question. You break the balloon take a heart and read the question, then you have 1 minute, discuss and answer in groups.

And I want to ask you in the end of our game to choose one colour. Red-This game’s very interesting. Green-50%50. Blue-This game’s boring. Now our lesson is finishing and we count the hearts in every team. A team that has vore hearts is a winner. Well. I hope that you liked this game. Good bye.
