                               ПРАЗДНИК РОЖДЕСТВА И НОВОГО ГОДА

                                                       CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR

.  Подготовка к празднику занимает немало времени. Разучиваются новогодние стихи, песни, заранее готовятся рождественские открытки, подарки для детей.

Учебный предмет: английский язык

Класс: 6,7

Форма учебной работы: внеклассное мероприятие

    Цели проведения:

1. Познакомить учащихся с традициями Англии на примере празднования 25 декабря

(католическое рождество).

2. Привить интерес  учащимся в изучении английского языка.
3. В игровой форме проверить умения учащихся применять полученные знания английского языка (лексику, разговорные выражения, устойчивые формы и т. д.).
4. Активизировать у учащихся творческие способности при подготовке и проведении

праздника.

   Всё мероприятие сопровождается презентациями

    Ход праздника:

    I этап. Предварительное знакомство с информацией о Christmas на одном из занятий кружка английского языка. Беседа учителя с учениками о Рождестве.

    II этап. Подготовка к проведению праздника (внеклассная работа учащихся по подготовке материалов к празднику: оформление гирляндами, украшение ёлки, костюмы, игры, предметы, необходимые для проведения игр).

    III этап.

  Начало праздника. Все гости и участники праздника усаживаются в зале. На сцену выходят двое ребят-ведущих.

Ведущий 1 (В1) : Hello, children! Hello, our guests!

Ведущий 2 (В1): Неllo, boys and girls. We are glad to see you!

Ведущий 1: Merry Christmas!

Ведущий 2: And a Happy New Year!

Ведущий 1: «Рождество» – это самый любимый праздник английских детей. Отмечается он 25 декабря – за неделю до нового года. И сегодня мы покажем Вам, как празднуют его дети.

 Ведущий 2: Дети заранее начинают готовиться к Рождеству: всем своим родственникам и друзьям они посылают рождественские открытки (Christmas cards) с пожеланиями веселого Рождества и счастливого Нового года.

 Ведущий 1: В каждом доме ставится рождественская ёлка (Christmas tree), которая украшается красивыми игрушками и огоньками, делаются праздничные композиции со свечами и рождественские веночки.

Ведущий 2: Дети в Англии разучивают песни и поют их у Рождественской елки.

Ведущий 1: Let’s sing “Jingle bells”!  Поют песню “Jingle bells”:

                          Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh,

                          O’er the fields we go, laughing all the way.

                          Bells on Bobtail ring, making spirits bright,

                          What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight!

                           Chorus: Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.

                                         Oh! What fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh!

Ведущий 2: Но, наверное, больше всего ждут прихода деда Мороза (Santa Claus). Santa Claus – это добрый и веселый старичок, он всегда приносит детям рождественские подарки, кладет их в носочки, которые дети вешают у своих кроваток или над камином в канун Рождества».

        Поют песню “Happy New Year” (в исполнении группы Abba)

  Рассказывают стихи.

                   Down comes the snow                                    New Year day, happy day,

            On a winter day.                                             We all dance and sing and say,

            I make a snowman                                           Welcome, welcome, New Year day!

            When I go to play.

            This is the season                                             It’s winter, it’s winter,

         Делают зарядку под музыку.

 Nod, nod, nod your head, nod your head together. (2 раза)

 Dance, dance, dance and dance, dance and dance together. (3 раза)

B2: А теперь в нашей программе – конкурс снеговиков!

B1: Let’s make snowmen!

B2: Приглашаются по 3 желающих от каждого класса. Каждой команде выдается по 2 рулона туалетной бумаги, по морковке и по ведру. Ваша задача – как можно быстрее “слепить” снеговика! (2человека обматывают бумагой третьего, делая из него снеговика).

B2: Let’s play again!

B1: На сцену приглашаются 2 команды по 7 человек. Каждый из вас получит по английской букве. Ваша задача – как можно быстрее составить слово SNOWMAN, выстроившись в линейку.

Teacher: Now let’s solve the rebus.

Game1. ” Pin the Tail on the Donkey”

Here is a Donkey but it has no tail. Everybody has a chance to pin the tail on the Donkey. It’s not so easy, because you cannot see – you have a scarf over your eyes. The person who puts the tail to the right place is winner.

Game3. “Presents”

You know that children get presents from socks or stockings. You must guess what presents are in them. If you are right then you’ll take the presents. ( Предполагаемые вопросы детей: Are there a CD there? Are there sweets? Is there chocolate?)

Hi! My name’ s…    I am from the  UK. I’ll     tell you how British children celebrate the New Year holiday. You see, in Britain the New Year is not as widely celebrated as Christmas. Some people ignore completely and go to bed at usual time. Others, however celebrate in one way or another. The most common type of celebration is a New Year party. This usually begins at about 8 o'clock and goes on until the early hours of the morning. At midnight the radio is turned on, so that everyone can hear the chimes of  Big Ben and on the hour a toast is drunk to the New Year. Then the party goes on.

-There is a funny tradition connected with the Hew Year: the First Foot. This is the first visitor to   enter a house on  New   Year's morning. The First Foot must be a man because it is believed that is a woman  sets foot in the house, bad luck will follow the family throughout the year.

Traditionaly, the first visitor must carry food, drink and coal into the house. Coal helps to make fire in midwinter and there shall never be lack of food and drink during  the comming year.

The first of January is the time for making New Year resolutions. Look! How the British spent January 1-st   and what happened one day in the Smalls family.

             Hello, my name is …… I am from the USA. In my country December, 31, New Year's Eve is a time for merriment. At midnight bells ring, horns blow, and friends exchange kisses. Everyone stays up late to celebrate the arrival of another January.

At home or in restaurants, most Americans spend the final hours of the old year and the first hours of the new year drinking and dining with friends.

One of the noisiest and most crowded of New Year's Eve celebrations takes place in New York at Times Square. Thousands of New Yorkers gather there, and millions of Americans across the country   join them watching TV.

       - Привет! I am a Russian  girl.   My name is ….

I’ d like to tell you a few words about the traditions of my native land - Russia.

All Russian people celebrate the New Year holiday. It’s  one of the most popular celebrations in the year. New Year is a family holiday. It's the time when all the family gets together round the New Year tree decorated with toys and sweets.    Little children believe  that when they fell      asleep Father -Frost will come and bring    them New Year presents.

Every family    has a holiday supper with traditional   bottle of champagne. It's opened at midnight, when New Year comes. All of us listen to President’s   speech which is transmitted on TV. Then we have parties with music, dances and games.
