                            План учебного занятия по теме: 

                                   « I Do Love Holidays».

Цель: формирование навыка общения в рамках речевой ситуации « I Do Love Holidays».

Задачи: расширить коммуникативный словарь учащихся; активизировать приобретенные ранее знания, навыки, умения в устно-речевом общении; активизировать коммуникативно-значимые грамматические конструкции; создать мотивацию для дальнейшего совершенствовании в иностранном языке; преодолеть психологические   барьеры, в частности страх перед возможностью сделать ошибку , а также преодолеть внутреннюю и внешнюю скованность и стеснение.

Оборудование: карточки, плакаты, иллюстрирующие содержание заданной темы, текст для чтения и осуждения,  интерактивная доска.

                                                 План хода урока:

                                1.Организационная часть:

1. Приветствие учителем учеников:

П: Good morning , children !

У1,2,3: Good morning , teacher !

П: I am glad to see you .

У1,2,3: We are glad to see you too.

П: There is the bell . Let s get started ! Are you ready for hard work ?

У1,2,3: Yes , we are .

П: Thank you , sit down , pleas .

2. Отметка отсутствующих:

П: Who is on duty today ?

У1: I am.

П: Who is absent today ?

У1: All are present .

 П: Thank you , sit down , please .

3. Создание психологически-творческого фона:

П: What s the weather like today ?

У1: The weather is good . It s frosty today . The sky is blue . The sun is shining brightly .

П: Do you like winter ?

У1: Yes, I do . It is my favorite season .

П: Thank you , sit down , please .

                                    Фонетическая зарядка:

To speak English well we must pronounce English sounds correctly .

                              I wish I owned a Dior dress

                                 Made to my order out of satin .

                              I wish I weigh a little less

                                 And could read Latin ,

                              Had perfect pitch or matching pearls ,

                                  A better head for street directions ,

                              And seven daughters , all with curls

                                   And fair complexions .      

                                    I wish I d tan instead of burn .

                                          But most , on all the stars that glisten ,

                                    I wish at parties  I could learn

                                           To sit and listen .

                          2.   Основная часть:

П: Why do people like holidays? When do Americans celebrate Halloween? What Halloween symbols do you know? What other holidays do Americans celebrate in fall? Why do we say that holidays unite people? What holidays are celebrated in America as well as in Russia? When do Americans decorate a Xmas tree?

У1: All people like holidays because they do not work on holidays, make presents and give them to one another, prepare their holiday supper   and usually see holidays in sittings round a festive table, people address greetings and good wishes to one another.

У2: Halloween is one of the best holidays for children . American children celebrate Halloween on October 31. Children wear masks and colorful costumes. The most popular costumes are ghosts,   witches and skeletons. They decorate their houses and schools in the traditional Halloween colors : orange and black . Popular decorations are witches, ghosts, skeletons, black cats   and jack-o-lanterns.

У3: Americans celebrate Columbus Day on the second Monday on October, Thanksgiving Day on the 4th Thursday in November. Thanksgiving Day is a family holiday. Americans gather to give thanks for all the good things in our lives.

У4: It is a time for the family to get together. Relatives from other cities come to spend a holiday at home and have a hearty meal.

У5: Family reunion…sometimes , it seems to me that holidays unite not only the family but the whole nation . And what s more , Xmas to me means uniting many nations into one family, spiritually at least. The more so because people have many similar traditions. Take Christmas,  the way you put up the Christmas tree.

У6: Americans put up Christmas tree and decorations twelve days before Xmas and take them down twelve days after. The main Xmas tree lit up on at the Rockfeller Centre. It will be lit up on December , 3 , between 5.30 p. m. and 6 p. m.  As usual selected children will push a button , while millions of television viewers nationwide and crowds of spectators   look  on.

П: You are going to a masquerade. But you have not bought tickets yet. You know that your friend will sell them at the entrance of the hall. You come to the hall and see your friend in the costume of the clown. You ask him(her) about the tickets. He(She) is surprised how you could recognize him(her) , in spite of all that heavy make-up he(she) used. You say that it was his(her) voice that gave him(her) away and the way he(she) speaks. You ask him(her) about the ticket and he(she) says that the tickets are distributed by the Beast. You exclaim: “ By whom?” And he(she) points you to a Beast and a Beast approaching you. They are also your friends. The Beast is joking: “ Trick or treat!” You surrender treat of course. The Beast takes a ticket out of his gown for you.

П: During the masquerade you speak with your friend about holidays. You say to him(her) that your favorite holiday is fall. You friend guesses that it is because there   are the most holidays in autumn. You both start enumerating autumn holidays one by one. They are Columbus Day on the second Monday  of October, Halloween on October, 31st, Thanksgiving Day on the fourth Thursday of November, then comes winter with Xmas, New Year s Day and of  course January, 20th –Martin   Luther  King  s birthday. Your friend says laughing  that poor kids have no time to study at all.

     Активизация речевой конструкции “ In spite of…” в игре.

     Учитель предлагает учащимся проявить силу воли и, бросая мяч одному из учеников,     называет ситуацию или условие, на которое учащийся дает ответ.

Например:

Учитель: The weather is nasty. (бросает мяч).

Ученик ( ловит мяч) : In spite of the nasty weather I shall go for a walk.

Примерные ситуации :

It is late.              It is not interesting to read a newspaper.

It is cold.             It is not easy to learn a foreign language.

It is dangerous.    You are tired, but you must do your homework.

It is raining.         You must help your mother but you want to sleep.

It is difficult.       You must take your sister from the kindergarten but there is an                                                                    

        amusing  comedy on TV.  

Активизация речевого материала по теме « Мы все любим праздники».

Учитель делит класс на две команды и предлагает им два конверта, в которых даны названия праздников, а также слова и словосочетания, относящиеся к этому празднику. Командам предлагается по сигналу вскрыть конверты и составить коллективное описание праздника для команды-соперницы, не произнося название этого праздника. Команда-соперница должна угадать о каком празднике идет речь.

Выигрывает команда, быстрее отгадавшая название праздника.

Активизация грамматического материала по теме « Сослагательное наклонение 1» в игре «If ifs and and were pots and pans».

Учитель говорит , что сейчас учащиеся покажут , какие они воспитанные. Для этого по очереди будут выходить пары учащихся . Они становятся перед классом и один говорит другому: “ Would you go with me to the park?” Другой вежливо отвечает: “ If only I have time I would go with you.” Затем второй ученик спрашивает первого: “ And would you lend me some money?” Первый отвечает: “ If I had any I would readily lend it to you.” Обменявшись репликами, оба ученика садятся на место, а вперед выходит вторая пара.

Выигрывает самая изобретательная пара.

П: Now let s listen to the song: “ Jingle Bells”.

Активизация грамматического материала по теме : « Сослагательное наклонение 2 в придаточных  предложениях  условия и уступки» в игре « Match a Sentеnce».

Учитель , разделив группу на две команды , раздает каждой по набору одинаковых карточек. Учитель просит учащихся после команды составить как можно больше предложений из этих карточек.

Выигрывает команда , составившая наибольшее количество предложений  в отведенное время (3-4 минуты).  

Активизация речевых умений в рамках темы  « Мы все любим праздники».

П: You are having your Christmas holidays. All the members of your family are going to come. You speak with your father ( mother ) about it. He ( She ) is glad that Xmas gets all the family together. You wish it happened more often. You like when your family spends Xmas at home and have a hearty meal. Your father ( mother ) thinks that Xmas is meant to unite all the nation into one family at least spiritually. You are sure that people have many similar traditions like Xmas. They put up a Xmas tree. You are fond of decoration a Xmas tree  with flashing lights, silver tinsel, candles and wrapping paper strings   around its branches. You father ( mother ) says that it would be a magnificent festivity.

П: Why do in some families they decide not to have a Christmas tree? What do they use to put up instead? What usually happens at the crossing of the Fifth Avenue and the 57th Street in New York City? Why do people say: “ East or West – home is best”? Why do the Americans hang stockings at the fireplace on Xmas night?

У1: Some people decided not to have a Christmas tree , because it does not go along with their belief of protecting the environment. They usually put up a midget-sized one at home.

У2: You would see the magnificent illumination looking just as if delicate white snowflakes were floating over Fifth Avenue at 57th Street.

У3: Grown-ups believe , like children , that Santa Claus comes down the chimney and fills the stockings with presents if you are good , and coal , if you are bad . They leave him a glass of cherries and a carrot for his reindeer , because they think that they are waiting for their master on the roof.

У4: Of course it is not because   of their belief , it is just for fun and because it is exciting.

                       3.Заключительная часть:

1. Подведение итогов , оценивание ответов учащихся :

П: We all like holidays very much. Holidays make people kinder and more attentive to one another . Holidays unite not only one family but even the whole nation .

Итоги урока: с целью формирования навыка общения в рамках речевой ситуации «I Do Love Holidays»; была осуществлена активизация приобретенных ранее знаний , навыков , умений в устно-речевом общении и коммуникативно-значимых грамматических конструкций ; расширен коммуникативный словарь учащихся ; создана мотивация для дальнейшего  совершенствования в иностранном языке ; был преодолен психологический барьер страха перед ошибкой говорения на иностранном языке.
