Открытый урок по теме "How different the world is - English-speaking countries"

Цель урока:

1. Социокультурный аспект- знакомство с некоторыми географическими особенностями, традициями, достопримечательностями англоязычных стран.

2. Развивающий аспект – развитие самостоятельности

3. Учебный аспект- развитие речевых умений, контроль уровня сформированности речевых умений.

4. Речевой материал – повторение лексического и грамматического материала цикла.

5. Воспитательная цель – формирование потребности, способности к осознанию образа жизни, поведения людей другой культуры, терпимого отношения к особенностям поведения людей другой культуры, критического отношения к мнению других людей.

Оснащение:

1. компьютер
2. презентации,
3. таблицы
4. грамматический материал.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент (3 мин)

T: Good morning, everybody! I’m glad to see you.

Take your seats, please.

T: Today some guests are present at our lesson

Now, let’s start our work. We have a consolidation lesson today, that’s why we are going to speak English a lot. Our theme is “How different the world is – English-speaking country!” Today we are going

1. to speak English a lot
2. to act out dialogues
3. to review grammar? words and phrases connected with travelling
4. some of our students prepared presentations and they will tell us about Canada and New Zealand.

During our lessons  we have learned many words which are connected with travelling. Now let’s review them.

My task is to translate my word combinations and sentences into English.

II.Повторение лексического материала. (10 мин)

1. Translate my questions into English and answer them:

2. Как вы предпочитаете путешествовать? (How do you prefer  to travel? Why?)
3. Вы любите уезжать заграницу или проводить  каникулы в своей стране? (Do you like to go abroad or spend your holidays in your country? Why?)
4. Какой самый удобный (опасный, интересный) способ путешествия? (What is the most comfortable (dangerous, interesting) method of travelling?)

2. Now your task is to put the preposition and translate the sentences into Russian. (Приложение № 1)

III. Повторение грамматического материала. (5 мин)

The next task is grammar. You will see the map with geographical names. I’ll show you the place, you must use it with or without article "the"(карта внесена в доску)

IV. Практика устной речи: монологической и диалогической. (26 мин)

1. T: And the main part of the lesson we will speak about English-speaking countries. (10 мин)

Your home task was different. Some of you prepared the topics about the best of all possible worlds, and the others make the presentations.

Let’s listen about some English-speaking countries, The first will be the UK, then Australia and the last – the USA)

(учащиеся рассказывают о странах с использованием презентации № 1)

T: Did you learn anything new about these countries?

2. T: And now you’ll work in pairs. Your task will be to make up  dialogues about some interesting facts and places of interest in these countries and act them out. To make the dialogues some of you should put given sentences in the correct order and some of you should make your own dialogues (8 мин)

T: Now let’s listen to small dialogues.

(диалоги ребята рассказывают на фоне презентации № 2) 

3. T: And the last group of our students prepared presentations about Canada and New Zealand. (Презентации №№ 3,4) Let’s listen to them and try to fill the tables. (Приложение № 2) (8 мин)

V. Подведение итогов урока.

H/w: I’ll give you some idioms and proverbs about travelling and your task will be try to explain them and think some examples where we can use them. (Приложение № 3)

Например:

Например:
I prefer travelling light. I don’t want to be anxious about loss of my belongings. 

 It is better to travel hopefully than to arrive.
