I’ll be your English teacher today. Today we are going to learn some new words and some grammar material. But first answer my questions.  What date is it today? Let’s begin our lesson with a phonetic drill. Today we are going to practise the sound [æ]. Look at me and repeat after me. [æ] - all together. (3 times)  Look at the screen. Here you can see a poem. Listen to me very carefully I’ll read it.

Handy Pandy, Jack-a-dandy,

Loves bananas and sugar candy.

He buys some at the grocer’s shop

And out he comes, hop, hop, hop.

Now repeat the words with the sound [æ] after me: Handy Pandy, Jack-a-dandy, candy, and. Very good.

Now we will practise the words on the topic “Happy Birthday”. Now look at the screen. Here you can see the words and the pictures. Your task is to make the words from the letters and match them with the pictures:

Now, children, we shall learn some new words. Look at the board and listen to my story.

Birthday is a very wonderful day. Everybody likes to celebrate it. We have a celebration dinner on this day. My mother makes the birthday cake, and then she cuts the cake. I like to eat the birthday cake with milk. We go for a walk in the park. My dad buys me an ice cream and juice. When we come back home, we go to the shop and buy a lot of fruit: apples, oranges and then we eat them. I think that my birthday is one of the best days in a year.

Repeat the words after me: cut, fruit, an apple, an orange, an ice cream, juice and milk. Who can translate the words? Very good. Now read the words one by one. P1, start, please. P2, go on, please. Well done.

Look at the sentences and fill in the words instead of pictures:

Введение и первичное закрепление нового грамматического материала

 Today, children, we shall learn grammar material. Ребята, скажите, а вы знаете, что существительные в английском языке делятся на исчисляемые и неисчисляемые? Скажите, какие существительные называются исчисляемыми? Исчисляемые существительные обозначают то, что можно посчитать. Они имеют формы единственного и множественного числа: one pen – two pens, one toy – three toys.

А какие существительные называются неисчисляемыми? Неисчисляемые существительные обозначают то, что нельзя сосчитать, и не имеют формы множественного числа: juice, milk.

Но с существительными могут употребляться слова SOME, ANY (немного, сколько-нибудь). Слова some, any употребляются с неисчисляемыми существительными, а также и с исчисляемыми во множественном числе. Some – в утвердительных предложениях, any – в отрицательных и вопросительных предложениях.

Now let’s do some exercises.

Divide the words into 2 groups: countable and uncountable nouns: milk, juice, banana, cake, book, sugar, apple.

1 group: banana, cake, book, apple;

2 group: milk, juice, sugar, butter. Very good.  

Fill in the gaps using some or any:

3) Can I have _____ Coke, please? (any)

4) We haven’t got _____ burgers. (any)

Now ask questions to the sentences

Закрепление грамматического материала: отр. форма глаг. в Pr.Cont

Давайте вспомним время Pr.Cont. Какое это время? Present Continuous – настоящее длительное время. Используется для пересказа событий, дел происходящих именно в данный момент.

Скажите, как образуется предложения в Pr.Cont.? Present Continuous образуется с помощью глагола to be и добавления окончания «-ing» к основному глаголу.

Sally is doing her homework at the moment. / They are buying a new car.

Как образуется отрицательная форма? После вспомогательного глагола добавляется отрицательная частица “not”.

Sally is not doing her homework at the moment. / They are not buying a new car.

Существует краткая форма: isn’t / aren’t. Well done.

Now let’s do some exercises. Make the negative form:

1) He is learning to read. (He is not learning to read.)

2) We are playing football. (We are not playing football.)

3) Dad and me are fishing now. (Dad and me are not fishing now.)

4) Radio is not working. (Radio is not working.)

5) They are drinking tea. (They are not drinking tea.)

Now open your coursebooks at p. 65 ex. 3. P1, read the task. Thank you! Open at p. 66, read the words and translate them: put (поставить), take (взять), cook food (готовить еду), switch off (выключать), eat (кушать), give (давать, дарить).

The first picture: Gloria is putting bananas on the table.

2 picture: Gloria is taking sugar in the closet.

3 picture: Gloria is cooking food.

4 picture: Gloria is switching off the light.

5 picture: Gloria is eating the cake.

Now answer the questions:

3. Is Gloria cooking food? – Gloria isn’t cooking food. She is switching off the light.

4. Is Gloria switching off the light? – Gloria isn’t switching off the light. She is eating the cake.

5. Is Gloria eating the cake? – Gloria isn’t eating the cake. She is giving the flowers.
