Hello! I’m Alyosha. I’m from Russia, and live in Siberia, in the small town Leninsk-Kuznetsky.

 And you? Where do you live? I have many friends. They are very good and cool. I like them very much. We talk on telephone much time. My best friend is Nikita. He is very clever and shy. He is very good at Tennis and plays computer games with great pleasure. We often listen to pop and rock music together. Evenings we go to the street and meet with our school friends and speak about love and friendship.

And what about you? What do you do evenings? In what sport are you good at? What’s your favorite singer? I and my friend like the Russian singer, Vladimir Zhdamirov.

                                        Alfred Nobel

Alfred Nobel was born in Stockholm on the 21st of October in 1833. But in 1842 his family with nine-year-old Alfred left Sweden and moved to Russia. Seventeen years later Nobel returned to their native country.

                The boy has never gone to school or university. He had studied privately till he was twenty. His teachers were professors in different subjects and they could teach young Alfred perfectly. Ye became an excellent chemist and linguist with deep and wide knowledge. He knew five foreign languages, such as Russian, English, German, French and Swedish.

                Nobel was very imaginative and inventive man. When he returned to Sweden in 1859 with his family he started to work of his own invention of explosives in the laboratory on his father. His greatest wish and the only aim were to improve people’s life and use his invention for the peacetime industries of road building.

                Alfred Nobel died in 1896. He was really brilliant and talented scientist.
