ХОД УРОКА «WE ARE HAPPY WE LIVE IN ST PETERSBURG»

Цели проведения:
Обучающая: Познакомить учащихся со знаменитыми личностями,
принесшими славу нашему городу
Развивающая: Заинтересовать детей в изучении английского языка как
средства описания нашего города
Воспитательная: Привить любовь к родному городу и научить им гордиться
Задачи:
- Совершенствовать навыки говорения
- Отработать навыки ответов на вопросы
- Отработать навыки монологического высказывания
- Развить навыки поискового чтения и чтения на понимание общего смысла текста
- Отработать употребление форм глагола «быть» в настоящем и прошедшем простых временах
- Отработать употребление оборотов there is/are и there was/were в утвердительной, вопросительной и отрицательной формах
Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, компьютер, аудиозаписи, видеоролики, презентация к уроку.
Ход мероприятия
I этап (вводный) 1.1 орг. (The teacher asks) Is she cold and hungry? (The children answer) Yes, she is. She is cold and hungry. (The teacher asks) Was she rich? (The children answer) Yes, she was. She was very rich. (The teacher asks) Did she give her money to poor people? (The children answer) Yes, she did. She gave all her money to poor people. (The teacher asks) Do you know this person? Who is she? (The children answer) She is Ksenya the Blessed (The teacher says) So, let’s look at the screen and read the information about Ksenya the Blessed. (Slide 6) Ksenia the Blessed She is a patron saint of Saint-Petersburg. She was married, rich and happy. When she was 26 her husband died. She gave all her money to the poor people. They helped her with the food and home. (Children look at the screen and read the information) (The teacher asks) What new information have you learnt? He composed «Eugene Onegin», «The Sleeping Beauty», «The Swan Lake», «The Nutcracker» (The teacher says) Now let’s meet another famous person and try to guess who he is. (The pupil «Repin» comes to the blackboard). (The pupil says) Where are my paints? Where is my brush? Let’s go on! What colour is the Volga? Is it violet? No, no, may be blue? No, no, no, Oh! His famous picture is “Barge Haulers on the Volga”. He is the great master of portraits. (Children look at the screen and read the information) (The teacher says) You are great pupils! He composed “Leningrad Symphony”, “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensky District”. (The teacher says) Now let’s meet another famous person and try to guess who he is. Look at the screen, please. (Children watch a video clip about Hill) (Slide 24) (The teacher asks) Who is he? (The children answer) He is Eduard Hill. (The teacher asks) I’m sure you know this person! (The children answer) He is a popular singer. (The teacher asks) Where did he live? (The children answer) He lived in St Petersburg. (The teacher says) Well done! Let’s read about Eduard Hill. (The children answer) He is Anatoly Sobchak. (The teacher asks) What is he famous for? (The children answer) He is the first mayor of St Petersburg. (The teacher asks) What did he do for our city? (The children answer) He renamed Leningrad into St Petersburg?. (The teacher says) Well done! Let’s check your answers. Look at the screen, please.(Slide 28) (Children look at the screen and read the information) Anatoly Sobchak is a professor of St Petersburg University. He is the first mayor of St Petersburg.
