Currently, the fast food restaurant chain is widely spread around the world. McDonald's is a place where people can relax and eat. It is called a "family restaurant" because it is a great place for a family rest.
And now we will visit the official website of McDonald's in Russia. A plump hamburger, crispy French fries and a glass of Coca-Cola are the usual attribute of a good mood. A meal at McDonald's is convenient for those who work, as well as for students, since you can quickly drop into a restaurant and have a hearty snack at lunchtime and get enough of high-calorie and delicious food until the evening. Fast, and the main menu and prices at McDonald's are pleasing to the eye and wallet. Sounds great! And if you think about your health? Eating fast food is unhealthy. But, no matter what, adults come here themselves and lead their children.
I hypothesize that the large-scale spread of the McDonald's restaurant chain is influenced by the current position of America in the world.
The purpose of this work is to investigate the development and formation of McDonald's as a global fast food empire.
Tasks: 1. Study the history of the emergence of fast food.
2. To investigate the history of the emergence and distribution of McDonald's in the United States and around the world.
3. Find out the reasons for its global spread.
4. Reveal the negative and positive sides of eating fast food.
5. Conduct a sociological survey of students and analyze its results.
6. Draw conclusions.
The object of the study is a chain of fast food restaurants McDonald's and fast food products. Subject of research: the history of the emergence of fast food and the spread of the McDonald's fast food chain, the advantages and disadvantages of fast food products.

The history of fast food
At first glance, fast food is a modern phenomenon, in fact, the concept of ready-to-eat food was known to our ancestors
Fast food existed already in the 50s BC, at the time of the development of the Roman Empire. The positive aspects in the development of fast food is saving time and effort on cooking, fast food of the ancient Romans was fresher and healthier than it is now.
The history of the creation and development of McDonald's in the USA
In the 30s of the 20th century, the first fast food establishments began to appear in many US states. And the highlight of such establishments were hamburgers, which are considered a real exotic dish. In the late 1940s, two brothers Mac and Dick Donald opened a small California restaurant. The restaurant was named McDonald`s Famous Barbecue.
The new McDonald's Brothers restaurant opened in December 1948. This is how Fast Food restaurant appeared. One morning in 1954, Kroc appeared at the brothers' restaurant and saw a fast-moving queue of visitors buying whole bags of burgers and fries, he came up with a single thought: "Such a system will work all over the world!"
Kroc immediately realized that the only thing the McDonalds lacked for success was scope. Kroc offered the brothers to develop a business with funds from the sale of franchises and open a chain of restaurants. The brothers were not against expansion, but they did not want to do it themselves. After some negotiations, Ray managed to buy from them the right to open such cafes throughout the United States. The company continued to develop successfully and a few years later launched a new form of MakAvto service.
McDonald's abroad
The number of McDonald's restaurants exceeds 36 thousand. They work in 119 countries around the world. In 2016, another one will appear on the map — Kazakhstan

The appearance of McDonald's in the USSR and the spread in Russia
The opening of the first McDonald's fast food restaurant in the USSR took place in Moscow in 1990. The institution stood out strongly against the background of catering in the USSR, so it became a big event for the residents of Moscow and attracted not a little attention.
In the morning, before the opening of the restaurant, there was a queue of over 5 thousand people. To get into a new institution for Soviet citizens, people stood in line for 3-5 hours. On the first day of opening, 30 thousand people were served in the restaurant, which became a record for the number of visitors served by McDonald's in one day.
In the future, the McDonald's network in Russia developed at an increasingly rapid pace.
What attracted people? Firstly, delicious food. But not only. The sellers were quick, smiling, did not require tips.
Delicious — and the point
The brand, which has the name "Delicious — and the point", officially began operating in Russia on June 12, 2022. He became the successor of the McDonald's chain, which left the Russian market.
The buyer of the American network turned out to be Kuzbass entrepreneur Alexander Govor. Previously, he managed 25 McDonald's restaurants under a franchise. The new owner signed a contract with McDonald's on May 18, 2022.
To distance themselves from the McDonald's brand, a new logo was developed, which depicts two yellow sticks and an orange circle folded into the letter "M" on a green background. The press service of Delicious — and the point

"Delicious — and the point" opened with 15 restaurants. Including from the legendary institution on Pushkin Square in Moscow. Some burgers or other products have disappeared, while others have simply changed their name. However, new positions have also appeared.
McDonald's vs Burger King
The marketing policy of the worldwide fast food restaurant chain Burger King was inclined in favor of aggressive advertising. The confrontation began a long time ago, when in 1981 Burger King first released a commercial with Sarah Michelle Gellar. The girl was indignant about the small amount of meat in the burger.
Then the brand war went on a roll. What is the point of such aggressive marketing? Why does Burger King arrange such advertisements? The answer is simple: the majority of fast food consumers today are young people from 16 to 25 years old. They will like such an image of the network.
McDonald's vs Delicious - and point
The first renovated restaurants opened on June 12 and 13. A kind of sensation was the fact that the Delicious — and the point chain sold a record number of burgers on the opening day - 120 thousand, breaking all previous records set by the American chain before it left Russia, the Daily Mail reported. After a couple of weeks, there is no excitement, but visitors are coming. The menu has changed. Because of the stable association with McDonald's, they removed Big Macs, Big Tasties, and McFlurry ice cream. At the same time, prices have increased by 8-10% on average. There are problems with packaging, sauces have become less diverse, salads have disappeared from the menu.
The rebranding of McDonald's caused a mixed reaction from the public and entrepreneurs who suspected the updated chain of plagiarism of the name and corporate symbols. 77.8% of respondents were critical of the choice of the name, only 13.5% approved it.
The management of "Delicious - and the point" expects that guests will get used to the new brand. Experts remind us that McDonald's also had powerful advertising.
The negative and positive sides of eating fast food
The positive aspects of fast food:
1.Quickly.
2. Cheap enough.
3. Restaurants are always clean and cozy. It is convenient to sit here, relax during a walk and refresh yourself.
4. What can I say: if this food was not delicious, no one would eat it.
The negative sides of fast food:
1. Fast food contains a lot of fats.
2.Margarine, which contains trans fats, is often used to prepare fast food. They are also the cause of health problems.
3. Fast food is the culprit of the development of many diseases.
Sociological survey of students of the 10th "A" class
- The first question: How often do you go to Delicious — and the point?
70%- visit regularly;
20%- sometimes, when absolutely necessary;
10%- rarely
- The second question: Why do you like Delicious — and the point?
All the students replied that it is delicious, cheap enough, fast and there is a cozy atmosphere
- In which other cafes have you bought fast food?
The students answered pizzerias, KFC, Burger King.
- What disadvantages of Delicious — and the point do you know?
The students' answers are junk food (72%) and long queues (28%).
During the survey, I found out the following facts: students know about the dangers of fast food, but they still eat it. Firstly, it's delicious, and secondly, it's a way to eat quickly.
Recommendations
In order not to become a victim of fast food, you should remember three simple rules:
1. Do not eat fast food more than once a week. And it is desirable to do it even less often.
2. Fatty and high-calorie dishes are the most dangerous for health
3. If you ate fast food during the day, you definitely need to eat normally in the evening.

Conclusion
At the end of my work, I would like to conclude that we were able to fulfill our goals and objectives.
After working on this topic, conducting a sociological survey and analyzing its results, we came to the conclusion that there are more disadvantages of eating it.
At the beginning of the study, we hypothesized that the large-scale spread of the McDonald's restaurant chain is influenced by the current position of America in the world.
During the research and analysis of its results, we came to the conclusion that fast food restaurants are one of the most profitable branches of business, despite the fact that fast food products are very harmful to people's health.
Therefore, our hypothesis was not confirmed.
McDonald's is the richest empire that just doesn't give up, and it will fight for its profit to the last cheeseburger.
