Самоконтроль и обобщение знаний обучающихся  по теме «США»

Задачи

 

   Образовательные задачи - активизировать и расширить знания истории, культуры, традиций страны изучаемого языка.

  Развивающие задачи – способствовать развитию логических общеучебных умений и навыков. расширению общего кругозора, развивать навыки работы в команде.

   Воспитательные задачи – развивать толерантность, коммуникативную манеру поведения, целеустремленность, волю к победе.

Знания, умения, навыки и качества, которые актуализируют/приобретут/закрепят/др. ученики

Навыки анализа и систематизации информации, умения работать в группе, знание истории, культуры и традиций Америки.

Компьютер,  проектор и экран, презентация, раздаточный материал с заданиями.

Сценарий.

Мотивация учащихся

Для успешного общения на иностранном языке необходимо не только научиться владеть языковыми средствами, но и общими содержательными знаниями о мире. Приобщение к языковому сознанию народа, язык которого изучается, идет через фоновые знания – культуру, обычаи.

Ход и содержание мероприятия.

Слова ведущего.

Организационный момент

  2 команды  занимают свои места. У каждой команды есть капитан.

Оглашается название мероприятия.

Представляется жюри.

Начало. Введение в атмосферу иноязычного общения.

Good morning, girls and boys! How are you? Today we’ll play a game. There are  2 teams which will take part in our game and please give names to your teams. Let’s introduce our jury:….

   (представление жюри)

It’s time the teams introduced themselves. The leaders, you are welcome. (Капитаны вызывают свои команды, называют девиз, идет представление команд)

 

Pay attention to the screen, you see themes and points you can get for answers.  

Now some words about the rules for today. Jury please.

(Жюри объясняет правила игры, отвечает на вопросы)

So, we can start. Who will be the first? Captains, come to me. (жеребьевка)

Квест

                                                                  Ход игры:

 I. Начало игры. Организационный момент.

В начале игры звучит гимн США(учащиеся должны угадать)

 II. Проведение игры.

В игре принимают участие 10 участников двух команд. Им раздают карточки с вопросами, где они отмечают правильный ответ. Игра состоит из 3 раундов:

1) история;

  1. литература;
  2. образование, культура, наука;

Игра начинается, с раздела «История». Ведущий задает вопросы в порядке повышения сложности вопросы, сопровождаемые слайдами презентации и комментариями учителя на английском языке.

 Правильные ответы проверяет жюри. В конце игры объявляются победители.

   I`m sure you know a lot of interesting facts about the USA. Today we are going to broaden your mind about culture, every day life, places of interest in this country. Certainly, it will be very interesting for you to listen to about this country, to see films and a presentation, to answer some questions about its people and its achievements.

Основной этап

      Some words about our rules. Teams, listen to me carefully. There are three rounds for you:

    the first one- you should name the place of the sight or the person you see on the screen;

    the second one- listening. You should listen to the text twice, and then you should answer the questions;

     and the last one-the quiz about American culture, education, history and famous people.

      One right answer is one point. At the end of our quiz we`ll count your points and name the winner. The biggest number of points can be 32. I wish you good luck. Be attentive, please!

   Let`s start the first round. I`m giving you a sheet of paper with written numbers.  Look at the screen, listen to my description of every picture and write down your answer. You should write it in English but if you don`t know how to say it in English, write it in Russian.

     Now the second round. Listen to the text about an average American twice and then you are supposed to answer some questions. You may take a blank sheet of paper and write something when listening if it is necessary. You should write here your right answers  .

       Now the last round.  I`ll give you the quiz about American culture, education, history and famous people. There are  14   questions here. You have some time- 4-5 minutes.

25. When do America celebrate Independence Day? ( July 4)

   The time is up. Hand in your sheets, teams. Our jury will count your points and name the winner.

   And now we are going  to see a film about the biggest city in America-   New York. Listen carefully, because tomorrow we `ll discuss it and you should ask 10 questions about this city ay home.

     I`d like to name the winner. It`s team number …My congratulations.

You have real knowledge of America and its people. Take your certificate. You have       ... points.
