1. Warming-up

Watch the short film and try to predict the topic of our lesson

2. Organization moment

3. Motivation. Aiming

To offer students to predict the topic of the lesson, according to video. It is going to the theatre.

Do you like theatre?

Do you often go to the theatre?

Do you know how to do it and how to behave?

So, we are going to make an instruction for going to the theatre.

4. Reproduction and correction of reference knowledge

Let’s remember lexis connected with our topic.

1)You can see the scheme of the theatre, name the parts of it.

2) Guess the word by its definition. (Pupils read and name the words)

1.  The performance takes place on it. (the stage)

2.  This comes down at the end of the performance. (the curtains)

3.  Seats on the same level as the stage. (the stalls)

4.  This person shows you to your seat. (an usher)

5.  You use these to see the stage better when your

seat is far away.(opera glasses)

6.  You can find cheaper seats here. (The gallery)

3) Tell us about your last visit to the theatre( students tell their stories to the class)

Today only pupils who complete ex.3 at p. 64 will get the tickets to the theatre

Students complete the task and get the tickets, they have to fill in the missing words in the tickets and sign their places on the scheme on the blackboard.
