You are going to give a talk about a healthy lifestyle. You will have to start in 1,5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (10-12 sentences). Remember to say:

 — what good and bad habits people have;

— what a healthy way of life is;

— what people should do to keep fit;

— what your attitude to a healthy lifestyle is.

I am going to give a talk about a healthy lifestyle

To begin with, I would like to say that a healthy lifestyle is more popular nowadays because of different reasons. Firstly, everybody wants to live a long and healthy life, to look slim. Unfortunately, people suffer from a lot of diseases at present. Then, environmental problems make people realize the importance of a healthy lifestyle. My strong belief is that good health is even more important than wealth.

A healthy way of life is a philosophical issue. Some people believe that to be healthy you should only avoid different bad habits, like smoking or drinking alcohol. I want to add some more habits,that can affect our health. Such habits like eating junk food,too much sweets, fatty and salty food, drinking fizzy drinks, overeating, skipping meals, avoiding sports can cause various diseases. That is why I believe that keeping to a  healthy diet  and exercising can help us to be strong and healthy, active and lively.

 To keep fit one should  sleep 8-9 hours a day,  have regular walks in open air . People say it is useful to take a stroll before going to bed, air the room regularly. It is very important to  have meals at regular hours. What is more we should have a regular medical check-up, try to combine work and leisure and try to avoid negative emotions. If we want to do well we should follow such recommendations.

As for me, I do my morning exercises and eat a lot of fruit and vegetables every day. (The proverb says An apple a day keeps the doctor away). Besides, I go swimming because it’s my favorite sport. I've been going in for swimming  for several  years. I go to the swimming pool twice a week. I enjoy it a lot. I also stay away from bad habits, because I’m sure that smoking, drinking alcohol ˈælkəhɒl destroy our body and brains.

At school we have physical training lessons three times a week. We play sports games such as football, volleyball and basketball, do various exercises and take part in sports competitions. In winter I ski and skate while in summer I like cycling and roller-skating. Moreover, I go to the fitness club and train at the gym.

As for teenagers in my region, they are keen on playing basketball, ice hockey and volleyball. Besides many young people are interested in martial arts, such as karate  [kəˈrɑːti], boxing, judo [ˈdʒu:dəu] and so on.

In conclusion, I want to say that sport, a balanced diet and keeping away from bad habits  is a very important part of our life. It makes us healthier.
