Урок английского языка в 6 классе по теме « Добро пожаловать в Британию!».

Цель: Ознакомить учащихся с информацией об особенностях  страны изучаемого языка,  традициях , праздниках, королевской семье, её резиденции (Букингемский дворец).

Задачи:

1. Учить учащихся вести диалог этикетного характера.

2. Формировать у  учащихся умение высказываться на заданную тему, используя изученный речевой материал в соответствии  с поставленной коммуникативной задачей. 

3.Способствовать развитию критического мышления; навыков поискового чтения и систематизации полученной информации.

4. Формировать грамматические навыки говорения: спряжение глагола  to be, неопределённый артикль.

5. Воспитание культуры общения и толерантности. Формирование уважительного отношения к ИЯ и культуре народов англоязычных стран, положительного отношения к фактам иноязычной культуры. 

6. Внутренняя мотивация: осмысление ответственности за свое обучение.
7. Ключевые идеи: расширение кругозора учащихся через организацию совместной деятельности.

 Оснащение урока : мультимедийная презентация урока, интерактивная доска, раздаточный материал для учащихся с дифференцированными заданиями(карточки, ресурсы), звуковое сопровождение для музыкальной паузы.

The subject of our lesson  is Great Britain .What do you know about GB? Please look at the slide. It is  situated on two islands and consists  of 4 countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Their capitals are London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast. It is a land of ancient traditions which are connected with the Royal Family, with  traditional food and holidays. TODAY WE ARE GOING  to talk about these facts. Our lesson will be  a magazine . The 1st page of our magazine is   “Hello! What is your name?”

These children  have come  to Great Britain  for holidays. Please let’s listen to their conversation.

 GB is famous  for  its  poets and writers. These are Daniel Defoe, Lewis Carrol, Roald Dahl  and others. You know many of their books for example “ Mowgli”  by Radyard Kipling, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by Frank Baum , “Alice Adventures in Wonderland” by Lews Carrol, “Robinson Crusoe” by Daniel Defoe. The 2nd  page of our magazine  is named “Who is your  favourite writer?” Listen to the short stories about  these writers.

 There are  many sights  in London.  Look  at some of them , read the information about them  and then do  the task.

LONDON SIGHTSEEING TOUR.

It was a big fruit and vegetable market. Now it is  a tourist shopping  centre with cafes and restaurants.

It is the London home  of the Queen. When the flag is on the top, she is at home.

It isn’t a circus, it is the meeting point of six streets.

It is a royal church. Here you can see the tombs of many British Kings and Queens and other famous people.

It was a fortress, a royal palace and later a prison. It is a museum now.

On the column in the centre there is a statue  of Admiral Nelson, who defeated  the French at the battle in 1805.

It is a Royal Park .  there is the London Zoo. It is one of the biggest zoos in the world.

Hallowe’en.

Hallowe’en is a nice holiday for children in England and America in autumn.

They celebrate this  holiday on the thirty-first of October. On this day  boys and girls put on old and funny clothes. They dress as witches and ghosts.

People make lanterns out of pumpkins and put them  on the windowsills.  They cut eyes? Noses and mouths out of the pumpkins. Then they put candles  into them to see  the candlelight  throw the eyes, nose and mouth. It looks like a face. The children go  from house to house  and knock at the doors. They say ‘ Trick or treats’.

People give them sweets, fruit, cakes and many other tasty things.
